Yeah, there's nothing wrong with a system like that.
You have to draw a line somewhere.

The following is from the article. I don't know anything about the guy until I saw this article about him.
It seems he's made a lot of shady claims including having PTSD from 9/11.
He's also had some shady activities connected with him such as attempted arson on his car for the insurance and, later on, arson on his church building.
There was a police report filed at the time of the alleged sexual assault about 4 years ago. And the article states the case was prematurely closed and the crime investigated should have been a felony sexual abuse in the first degree with no statute of limitations instead of it being written up as a third degree sexual abuse misdeameanor with a one year limit to bring prosecution.
I need no research on PTSD. I have plenty of experience.
In researching this guy I don't see any mention of him having been in NYC on 9/11 or having any connection to it other than being aware that it occurred.
Perhaps a personal thing for me but I get irritated as hell when I hear someone talk about having PTSD from a break in at their neighbors home, or having their purse stolen, or seeing a bad accident on the free way. That is nothing more than a sympathy seeking attempt and don't have a damn clue what PTSD is really like to live with. Not a damn clue.

That's the most pointless thing you'll type or say all of this week. As if I and everyone else here doesn't know this.

Will read when able, but this individual would not be the first person I've ever come across to have survived through just enough lies and hysterics to lurch them from one catastrophe of their own making to the next...until that didn't work anymore.

There's no agenda or bias in that article, none whatsoever. Jesus, the intro reads like their setting him up as the criminal mastermind that controls the masons & the knights templar to steal from orphan babies.
True or not, that's not reporting, that's storytelling. I stopped about 4 paragraphs in. I have no idea if he was innocent, made a minor screwup or was a predator that needed killin, but fuck that "journalist" and the horse he rode in on. Actually, leave the horse alone & fuck him twice.

I find it hard to believe that an innocent person would take their own life over allegations. Sure, if wrongly convicted and facing 20 years in SuperMax, maybe, but besides that?
Something you need to remember is that accusations such as this are NEWS only when the accusation is still "active". If at some point the accusation is found to be groundless or even proven to be completely false it's no longer NEWS, so nobody hears about at accusation being found to be without merit, all they hear about is the accusation. End result is a lot of folks can have a reputation ruined or career ended by someone making an accusation simply to get themselves on the evening NEWS.
Now, I do not know if this person was innocent or guilty, if a truly fair trial were available that would be a path to a decision. However these accusations lead to so much bad publicity that a truly FAIR trial just is not possible and as a result Due Process is not available for someone facing these accusations, it's Trail by Media and you are ALWAYS GUILTY in a Trail by Media. In view of that I can fully understand why someone facing an accusation like this may commit suicide. So I am not going to assume that suicide is an indication of Guilt IMO it's simply an indication that the person who was accused just wasn't able to withstand the viciousness of today's News Media.
I've stopped counting.

cas^ You're guilty on a full front page headline for most of a week. You're innocent for one day, two years later in a 1"x 1" bulb, somewhere in the middle of the paper.
Our "new" found morality is a byproduct of longer life expectancies. When the average life span was 30 plus years or so, we were just like every other animal in nature. If the female is old enough to conceive, well then she was old enough to be wed and do so.
I'm not suggesting we go back to that, but it's interesting how different societies and cultures pick a magical age and draw that line.

a1abdjIn Kentucky the age of consent is 16. As a 17 year old, there was no legal issue with her age vs. his. So many people seem to confuse the age of 18 as being the magic age.
Whatever issues existed in this story would be limited to the alleged assault.
