SHOCK: Congressman Kills Himself Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations. Here’s What His Suicide Note Said.

"The accusations from NPR are false GOD and only GOD knows the truth, nothing is the way they make it out to be."

On Wednesday, news broke in Kentucky that Republican State Rep. Dan Johnson, who authorities were investigating over allegations of sexual misconduct, committed suicide.

Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell confirmed that a gun was recovered at the bridge in the City of Mt. Washington where Johnson ended his life, WDRB reported.

According to a reporter with the local news outlet, Johnson posted the following suicide note on his Facebook page on Wednesday around 5 p.m.:
quote:

The accusations from NPR are false GOD and only GOD knows the truth, nothing is the way they make it out to be. AMERICA will not survive this type of judge and jury fake news . Conservatives take a stand. I LOVE GOD and I LOVE MY WIFE, who is the best WIFE in the world,My Love Forever ! My Mom and Dad my FAMILY and all five of my kids and Nine grandchildren two in tummies and many more to come each of you or a total gift from GOD stay strong, REBECCA needs YOU . 9-11-2001 NYC/WTC, PTSD 24/7 16 years is a sickness that will take my life, I cannot handle it any longer. IT Has Won This Life . BUT HEAVEN IS MY HOME. “PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY, Only Three things I ask of you to do,if you love me is (1)blame no person,Satan is the accuser, so blame the Devil himself. (2) Forgive and Love everyone especially yourself .(3)most importantly LOVE GOD. P.S. I LOVE MY FRIENDS YOU ARE FAMILY ! GOD LOVES ALL PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT !

WDRB noted that Johnson was under investigation for allegedly kissing and fondling a 17-year-old girl in 2012 when she was staying in a living area of a church that Johnson served as a pastor. The girl told investigators that Johnson “had been drinking a lot” when the incident allegedly happened.

Authorities had not filed criminal charges against Johnson who vehemently denied the allegations made by the girl during a press conference on Tuesday.

“This allegation concerning this lady, this young girl, absolutely has no merit, these are unfounded accusations, totally,” Johnson said, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin tweeted his condolences Wednesday night after hearing about the incident.

Sad but why do that to your loved ones. All of a sudden in this country it seems your guilty just because you've been accused.

I find it hard to believe that an innocent person would take their own life over allegations. Sure, if wrongly convicted and facing 20 years in SuperMax, maybe, but besides that?

Rightly, or wrongly, seems a tortured soul.

Now in God's hand.

For those who have not had experience with PTSD I suggest you do a little research on it.

Then, ask yourself how you would handle SIXTEEN YEARS OF IT!

I have a family member who suffers from PTSD from experiences while he was in the army. He was medically retired because of that and other issues. None his fault.

Sometimes just the allegations can put so much pressure on a person to snap...this is apples to oranges...but a porn star ended her life from the pressure and "bullying" from "social media" for not performing (fucking) a guy who had previously had sex with a dude...seems like a thought out situation to me...

Perceived pressure/negative social comments/views from social media can impact one's life in tragic ways...

Suicide seems to be a permanent solution to a temporary problem that often means diddly squat in the course of human events Frown

I see it almost every night and it is depressing.

People take their own life for a myriad of reasons: PTSD, depression, drugs, financial problems, fights with the significant other.

Of the few I just worked ( I mean within the last two weeks) one was over depression and financial, and the other was fighting with the significant other.

If you are a guy and are accused, not found guilty but just accused the cards are stacked against you.

Just look at the current turmoil, people are losing their jobs and basically hung through the social media just for being accused.

I feel sorry for the family.
Sad way to go.

17 years, 364 days, you're the devil incarnate if you even think about touching her.

18 years, 1 day, the sky's the limit, she can even do porn.

Welcome to the criminal justice system. A speck over xxx grams and you go from probation to 10 year Min Man. .07 you go home, .08 you go to jail. Hell, the humidity in the lab could mean the difference between a felony or a misdemeanor.

Best to know the law before you decide to break it.

If your right hand alleges inappropriate sexual abuse thirty years later, and you shoot yourself right-handed, is it suicide or revenge-murder?

I once had a well-respected State Rep. and his legislative assistant encourage me to run for office. "Nope. Too many skeletons in my closet." "We all have those," they replied. "Yeah, well some of mine might be pretty bad."

No crimes, per se... ok, some common "recreational" crimes, if you get my drift, but more along the lines of the kinds of pillorying we're seeing today. I think I might make a good legislator, but I'm not even remotely interested in being exposed to that kind of abuse to find out.

Here's a LINK to an article 5 chapters long.

The following is from the article. I don't know anything about the guy until I saw this article about him.

It seems he's made a lot of shady claims including having PTSD from 9/11.

He's also had some shady activities connected with him such as attempted arson on his car for the insurance and, later on, arson on his church building.

There was a police report filed at the time of the alleged sexual assault about 4 years ago. And the article states the case was prematurely closed and the crime investigated should have been a felony sexual abuse in the first degree with no statute of limitations instead of it being written up as a third degree sexual abuse misdeameanor with a one year limit to bring prosecution.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
