I'm not familiar with trends in Maine. What I see missing is the stairs to the basement, where the bar and reloading room would be. As well as the build in gun safe.

Back 12 years ago, when we were building, some idiot walking up the road nosed in and looked. He saw the 10x20 room in the basement. He asked what that was, a laundry room? Damn fool obviously wasn't a shooter. Since your ammo storage needs to be locked away too, might as well solve that problem with the same safe door.

I would oversize the garage portion. Current plans look to have the size pretty marginal.
