Actress and filmmaker Justine Bateman mocked Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Broadway debut, calling it “baffling” and comparing her casting to “a Make-A-Wish grant” for critically ill children.
“This is baffling to me. It has all the earmarks of a Make-A-Wish grant,” Justine Bateman wrote in a Tuesday X/Twitter post, reacting to a promotional video of Jackson performing on stage.

synthplayerThis reminds me of a lesson I learned in my youth. You either have class, or you don't. If you don't, you'll never be able to learn to appreciate it. You'll always view folks who genuinely have class as being pretentious.
i.e. We all know Clarence Thomas would never even consider being a thespian.

Babylon Bee has a track record of hitting it out of the ballpark. LOL
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

TigerDoreThat's so strange, but I would rather she stay on Broadway and not be present at SCOTUS to make any decisions of great importance.

nhtagmemberAgreed. She should extend her performance schedule for as long as possible.

parabellumUndignified and, yes, wholly inappropriate for a Supreme Court Justice. She really does come across as God-awful stupid. She has no business being a federal judge at any level, and that's being generous about it.
The only good thing about her is that she serves as a stark warning about the dangers of identity politics and DEI.

She played Michael j fox's sister, Mallory, in his 80s TV show Family Ties
Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

Jackson bizarrely appeared onstage on Saturday in her one-time-only debut in Broadway’s & Juliet, a reimagined queer musical production of Romeo and Juliet.
The creative-class is so desperate to connect with somebody since their Doyon Ginsburg passed and the other two women of the court are such disappointments in their celebrity. I'm sure Jackson will be soon referred to as KBJ as they work to increase her 'profile'

Unless she says that about herself I wouldn't believe it. There are a lot of self described "classical" liberals that are just over everything woke.

monoblok^^^ Well I had to look. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bateman at least is pro-Trump.

If you give a listen to Megyn Kelly's podcast with Bateman recently....I'd say she's more of a libertairan. She insists she's not political but, is certainly exasperated and tired-of the social-political grievance acts over the last decade. Considering how far-Left the entertainment industry is, those industry rags are going to paint her as a conservative, Trump-appologist, ad nausieum.
