We went to Austin when we moved here to TX it was nice 5 years ago, but the only thing I do there now is go to the airport…and I can take the toll roads there to avoid I35

When my wife and I moved to Texas, we didn't even consider the Austin area as a place to live. I have only been there once since moving here. Hell, I live in DFW near Ft Worth and I rarely go into Dallas. Austin has always had the reputation of being "weird", and in recent years, that word has changed into "commie".

The “worse” is just beginning. The council just fired a somewhat police supportive city manager- Spencer Cronk, (from Minneapolis city govt no less)over his response or lack of it to the last freeze out, and power outages.

Police contract negotiations had been going on for months prior to this. A 4 yr agreement had been hammered out-agreed to by both sides, the vote came, this council voted it down. Cronk was in favor of it.
This council wants an all powerful citizen oversight component to any contract (so they say), where they can basically have access to and share investigations with whomever.
For the last 2 contract negotiation sessions, they’ve gone through the months long process with the police association, and promptly voted them down.
This along with the cop hating Travis County DA Jose Garza, has combined to make Austin as bad as any liberal led city, imo. His claim to fame was indicting 19 officers who used force to repel the mobs trying to burn down the main police HQ building in 2020.

On Feb. 23rd, more than 100 APD officers will likely be filing papers to retire. I had skin in this game for 29 1/2 years and still have friends there. Take the toll road around this town is my .02.

One interesting aspect of Texas is that the population is mostly spread out through the rural areas, Texas is the 2nd largest state next to Alaska. The total count for the largest cities combined that lean left (obviously Austin is the most blue)- Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, and El Paso is approx. 6.5 million people compared to 30 million Texans for the entire state.

Progressive district attorneys are part of the war on America. They don't want punishment for those who commit crimes just a short counseling by a lefty judge. Californians leave their failed woke state and then want bring their wacko politics to other states. Idaho, Oregon, Washington and now Texas have been infected to varying degree. Maybe a new "build a wall" to keep the woke inside California should be considered. Amnesty for those who pass a polygraph test after a "re-education" program on American values.

Take a hard look at the social scene of the colleges and universities in your state....if you think it's JUST California refugees causing this, you may be in for a surprise.

Hundreds of teens break into Texas family’s home, throw ‘mansion rager’

Hundreds of teens broke into a Texas family’s home and threw a wild “mansion rager,” causing thousands of dollars in damages, while the unsuspecting family was out earlier this month.

Local high schoolers promoted the Feb. 11 party on social media without consent of the family — who do not have any high school-age children — and then showed up in droves to the Austin property, according to Austin’s Fox 7 News.

“We started receiving numerous phone calls from our neighbors that there were kids on our water tower on our property, there were cars up and down the street, and kids were hopping over the front of our fence,” the homeowner, who requested anonymity, told the local outlet.

The man rushed home last Saturday, but the party-goers were already on their way out. He witnessed “car after car after car just trying to flee the scene,” he said.

“It was horrifying. I mean, it was just [an] unbelievable total violation of one’s privacy,” he added.

The family only has a toddler not old enough for the local school system and doesn’t know how or why the rowdy teens targeted their home, the property owner told the station.

The teenagers shared a promotion for the party, which they called a “mansion rager,” through the photo-sharing app SnapChat. The “ad” listed the time of the party as 7 p.m. and the end as a cop car emoji — meaning it would last until the cops arrived. The ad also stated the event was BYOB and BYOW (bring your own booze and weed).

The homeowner came home to find his front gate broken, the front door wide open, all the lights on and damage throughout the place. Beer and White Claw cans littered his property and his TV screen was smashed.

“I saw they had thrown like avocados at the wall, there was damage to sheetrock and baseboards. They had thrown tools through the sheetrock of our garage. They had my daughter’s toys scattered around the property,” the homeowner told Fox 7.

Some of the drunken teens left clothes branded with their local high schools behind in the home.

The homeowner said the hundreds of teens came from “all the major high schools in the Greater Austin area,” according to the clothes left behind.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the party and has asked people with information about the case to come forward, according to Fox

“There seems to be little consequences for these actions, and I feel like it’ll keep getting worse if we don’t get to the bottom of things like this,” the homeowner said.

The “mansion rager” comes months after teens in Florida broke into an $8 million mansion to throw a wild party — complete with a boxing match — without the homeowners’ knowledge or consent. They also allegedly stole a $1,500 bottle of wine, a $3,500 Yves Saint Laurent purse and a football signed by Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, according to Fox.

Well maybe they will get lucky and the dumbass that started the notice will get caught.

Since these rave/party/mansion ragers all start on social media, someone needs to sue FB, Instagram, SnapChat, see if they can get some civil judgement against them for allowing these posts to be made.

FB has code in place that knows when you include COVID or some derivative of COVID and tags the post with a warning pop up and a link to their response, same on Trump, or any political post they have flagged specific words, they can do this for these activities.

If the social media people can block Trump, or individuals for posts they don't like, they can darn sure see peoples posts, and should have security measures in place to find these posts and block them.

Since they allow it to happen on their private social media platform, see if some civil action will stick and force the change..
