Nearest Jersey Mike's is about 15 miles away near a Portillo's which always wins out. So, I've never been.

There's a Firehouse Subs about 10 miles away. Never been there either.

I'll have to make it a point to give them a try.

Only Jimmy John's, Subway, Potbelly or Cousin's here, along with a couple local places.

I used to live on Hungry Hobo when I was still in the QC area.

Jersey Mike's is pretty decent.

But the best sub shop is R&R in Pine Brook. Good people, too.

Just about any sub is better than Subway.

Jersey Mike's is good. Firehouse is awesome, Penn Station is good. Sub Station 2 is good also, but they aren't a big chain.

I think they are ok but not on my top 5 list.

Publix, Larry's, and Firehouse are my go to here.

I liked Quiznos and when I lived in Great Lakes Cousins.

I really like Jersey Mike's. I can't stand Firehouse Subs for some reason.

Jersey Mike's is great. Not a fan of Jimmy Johns or fire house. Subway is the worst.

Hmmm. I just tried Jimmy John’s a few weeks ago and was not impressed in the least.

I guess I have to hunt for Jersey Mike now.

Could vary location to location. It was right around 6:00 pm when we went to Jersey Mike's and we were the only people in there and no one else came in the entire time. Maybe that was a clue.

Of the chain sub shops I've tried, Jimmy John's in my favorite. The best sub I've ever had was at a little place called Sensuous Sandwiches in Provo, Utah. My mouth is watering just thinking about their Spicy Italian.

I like Mike's for cold subs, Firehouse is much better for a hot sandwich. Penn Station is meh, it's to similar to a mall food court cheesesteak kiosk.

Really? I guess it depends on location. The Winn-Dixie near me is okay but I get a much better sub from any Publix I ever go to.

Yeah, probably location dependent. In my area, there is one Winn-Dixie where the deli department makes really good subs. The other locations are meh.

Publix seems to be more consistent from location to location, but the one really good Winn-Dixie beats the Publix hands down, and at lower prices, too. If I remember correctly, it's $3.99 for a six inch at Winn-Dixie, $5.49 and up for a six inch at Publix.

Love Jersey Mike's sub's. The closet one is 13.5 miles. I do get there often because of the big shopping centers there so that's good. I almost always get the #13.

Side note, the guy that owns all the Jersey Mike's sub's locally lives not to far from me, but the closet one is 13.5 miles away.

Jersey Mike's sub's has just about everyone beat around here. Subway=dog food, Jimmy John's=worse then dog food, Jason's deli=expensive dog food.

Now besides Jersey Mike's sub's, I really did Which Wich. Their "the Wicked" is de bomb as is the parlance of today's yute.

They are about the same distance as Jersey Mike's sub's, but for right now I am almost across the street from them from work (until they charge my location). I'm at Which Wich at least a couple times a week.

It's the Publix deli counter for me. Smile

Never had a Jersey Mike's sub, so I'll have to add it to the list of things to try.

I like that Jersey Mike's pulls a bulk piece of meat and slices it fresh as they make the sandwiches. Subway and others have the meat pre sliced sitting in metal bins waiting to go on sandwiches. Who knows how long that stuff has been sitting out in the open air.

While I've had better subs, JM's is pretty good especially for a chain.

Since I work 3rd shift, I actually like Subway because the one close to work is open 24 hours a day. It's either them or Wawas for sandwiches and Wawas is not as good.

Jersey Mike's gets a 6/10 from me. It's ok, but not what I would call good.
Baldino's Giant Jersey Subs in Savannah is the best I've ever had. Publix Ultimate Boar's Head is a close 2nd.
