I have this too. Only time it goes away is when I'm not listening.

robbiedogIn the last few days I heard the first cicada of the season, and saw our first fireflies last night. Also saw a monarch butterfly.

nhtagmemberI haven’t seen a firefly in more than 50 years. Used to see them all the time when I was growing up in rural Nova Scotia.

ARmanNo cicadas around here. But just up the road about 6.5 miles at my friend's house it's crazy how many there are!
Firefly/lighting bugs should be showing up any day now. Still a little cool and lots of rain now.

I have a lot of cicadas at one place and they just about killed a pink dogwood boring into the branches.
There are a few firefly's around and some June bugs.

David LeeI have not yet seen a single cicada. Maybe it's my ears. They are supposed to be here. Outside, it sounds like them.

KMitch200Reminds me of getting new hearing aids last year.
My wife used to say, “Can you hear those damn cicadas? They’re really loud.”
Well, no I couldn’t. “If you say so sweetie.”
AFTER my new hearing aids they were loud and clear. I told the guy that programmed them, “Good job on that one. Thanks a bunch!”
