Ha ha

I remember fondly when I was about 40 and I decided it would be cool to play soccer with a bunch of 9-10 year olds. Nastiest ankle sprain I ever had

Yeah, where was that video 8 years ago when I jumped out the bed of my truck and screwed up the other big toe? I screwed up the first one when I was 18 and I was 50 for the second one. They both hurt now, but it balances out so I can walk straight.

I skated in an over 40 ice hockey league several years back. Two nights a week. My goal was simply to spend 2-3 days recovering just to make it to the next game.

Had a pickup truck about 30 years ago.

I got a huge shin contusion from jumping up and slipping on the tailgate.

I have to say I don’t miss the “can you do me a favor” calls.

I do miss not being able to do the occasional dump run for myself though…

I’m looking at the Ford Fathom EV truck coming out in 27 for a run around vehicle.

Was on Vacation with the Family about 3 weeks back. My sister, her husband, and myself are all in our 70's. My nephew is married to a Nurse Practioner and leads the staff at an Urgent Care facility. She made sure that the "rent's" (US) were aware that a full 50% of all Urgent Care patients are there for "Fall to Ground". Last week I was out for my daily morning walk and planned on doing 2 1/2 miles. Moving along at a sub 17 minute pace with the dog I got a bit inattentive about lifting every foot clear of the ground and caught the edge of a pavement slag. Lunged forward and the dog decided that a bit more distance was a good idea and completed the fall. Chin is still a bit tender but no real harm done. Won't be telling Lindsey about it, I can hear it now "Fall to Ground" accounts for 50% of all injuries. Lesson learned, now I don't get lazy about picking up my feet for every single step.

I've stopped counting.

I started packing a 2’ step ladder in my truck. The laughing stopped when my buddies started using it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

When I was 44 I accepted a challenge from my 13yr old son to race him on a climbing peg board. I completely severed my pectoral major and tore my rotator cuff in 3 places.
Getting old is fun.

Don't leave us hanging! Who won?? You pushed through the pain and claimed victory, right?

This is why my GMC Sierra HD 3500 AT4 has the Multipro Tailgate with assist handle. It really is a game changer for those of us who are getting older.

At 75 my checklist now is reading glasses and "will I need my knee pads". Another is if I get down on the ground what will I use to get back up with, at stairs, Fuck, there is no railing, is also a popular thought.
I purchase everything thinking that this may be the last time I will need this. Most recently when I renewed my drivers license.
I laugh at lifetime warrantys.
After your mid 60's you move into a much tougher game.

Surgery, when you get old, to repair the damage you did to yourself when you forgot you were over 30 years before, is a great reminder of your errors and misjudgements in your younger days.

I'll call it a tie. The sight of me falling and going into the fetal position caused him to laugh so hard he couldn't continue.
