Maybe. My daughter is 1/8 Indian (Cherokee, I think) as my wife's dad is 1/2. Anyhow, when she started college (2008) we thought we'd get some of that free shit. My wife was told our daughter could not get anything as she had to be a member of a recognized tribe.

The rules may differ for those govt set asides and the 8A program.

I was all set for my portion of reparations too. Then I did the ancestry test and found out not even one per cent in my family line. Also family rumors were Cherokee lineage too. Nope! I guess my ancestors were just not that adventurous.*s*
