Please help me find a medical term and definition.
I agree it's some kind of sociopath, but maybe there's a more specific kind here? I usually refer to that kind of peep as a "fair-weather friend."

Back to the original question.
While that person could be a psychopath, you'd have to make a lot of assumptions based on the description in that question.

Psychopaths have almost all, or sometimes all, of those traits. A number of people have some of them but are not necessarily psychopaths.

I have a ex-BIL that has all those traits and diagnosed as a psychopath and you wouldn't have any doubt if you met someone like that.

I forget the name used in the Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead novels.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I believe the term used was “looters”.
