I’d like a Bose Wave Radio but don’t want to spend that much. $200 would be max.

Lots of portable Bluetooth units, some with radio receivers, but all are also battery powered with few being just 110v A/C. Id rather not leave a LiOn battery unti plugged in full time.

Smaller form factor. Something better than a clock radio, but not whole house size and power. Basically something for the shop.

Something with a built in tuner Tivoli

If you have WiFi available I'd look at a Sonos One. No built in tuner but any station you want over wifi plus a lot of other music options.

Yes, that's a nice radio, very stylish, though I'd prefer the beige.

For an inexpensive ($30) radio, I've had good luck with these Panasonics. Though I should say that there are persistent rumors that AM is being phased out.

As Para said, C Crane.
I have a 2E and it has good sound and excellent reception. Not furniture quality, utilitarian, but would fit well in a shop. When my first model one finally died after many years of service I immediately bought another. The 2E is even better than the model one. It also fits in your price range.

The C.Crane is top choice so far, thanks.

Yes, excellent radios, and customer service to match. I had a question about a particular function of their excellent pocket radio. The manual was unclear. I had a conversation with a nice lady who took the time to get the answer from one of their engineers and she said they would clarify this in the next iteration of this model's instruction manual. Top notch.

I crack a smile when I see transistor radios.
It brings back memory's back to the 1950's-60's.
When I was a youngster transistor radios came into being. A radio with a "made in Japan" sticker was thought of as complete garbage, just like now when we talk about Chinese stuff.
Back then the more transistors meant better reception. Being a kid a 2 transistor radio was about all the quality I would ever see. Some people had and showed off there 6+ transistor radios.
I remember sneaking my 2 transistor radio into bed and under my pillow so my parents would not hear it. WLS was thee station to listen to, John Roberts, Dex Card, were thee DJ's.
With a fresh set of batteries and cocking the radio in a certain direction gave me my music.

Yep. I'm a child of the '50's/60's. Mine was a Zenith. Don't remember, but it was most likely AM only. That was fine; the Top 40 stations were what I listened to, along with the venerable KMOX in St. Louis for Cardinals games.

To the OP's question, I have a Sangean WR-11 that is a good table radio. I also have the C.Crane AM/FM Weather Radio that Para recommended a few years ago, but that is probably smaller and less full sounding than you might want for a shop.

You can get a Yamaha R-S202 stereo receiver for about $200. Just add an inexpensive pair of speakers and you’ll have something light years better than a Bose radio.

I purchased a $74.00 mini stereo boom box at a garage sale for $9.00.

It sounds great for garage or work area music.
I added a $55.00 set studio headphones for when I want to crank it up, here in my apt.

Iam very happy with it. It's not digital, but it has a c.d. player as well.

Batteries or a.c. powered.
Reception
is good.
