In the comments section of this youtube video, a poster says that this is the most copied link in history. I don't know for a fact that this is true, but if it isn't, it should be.

Many years ago in this forum, I announced that I was going to RickRoll everyone and there was nothing they could do to stop me. As I recall, a couple of members actually took offense at this. Big Grin

It's harmless fun and, you know what? We seem to have forgotten that this is actually a great pop tune. I guess no one wants admit that they like the song, but I like it.

So, come on, boys and girls! RickRoll yourself!

1.515 billion views. Remarkable!

Here's another of Astley's tunes I really like. Wholesome, and bordering on gospel music. Come on. It's OK to say you like Rick Astley. It's not like saying you're a fan of Bananarama or Milli Vanilli.

Rick Astley gave an interview a few years ago, and he actually likes his internet fame. Some artists would be offended, but Rick is just having fun with it

I've was RickRolled by someone here maybe 5 years ago, dropping in links randomly. I don't know what youtube pays but if Rick just gets a penny a click, I'd be laughing all the way to the bank on that. Good for him!!

They're toned back just a bit, but Dave knows how to put on a show.
Saw them last year, at a pretty small venue, when they were in Houston, and before in 07 also in Houston, at Toyota Center, which was packed.

I think it'd be fun to print a batch of those and stick them in random places. Gas pumps, grocery store shelves... maybe a giant one for the back of a tractor trailer! Big Grin Now if only I knew how to track that and see how many times people scanned them and got redirected to Rick's video.... Wink

I have a bit of mistrust for people who don’t like Rick Astley.

I think he surprised a lot of people. Our first introduction to Rick Astley is this deep, smooth soulful voice, then we finally get to see him on TV and the face looks like he was one of Opie Taylor's friends that was just fast-forwarded 25 years, and landed on MTV.

I have seen some interviews he's done and his live rickrolling pranks. He seems like a good guy, void of star ego; a regular person that never let fame change him.

It would be diminished without him, for sure. His signature song is one of those that just makes you feel happy.
