Suggestions for some new heavyweight t-shirts?
I currently have a few of the LL Bean Unshrinkable shirt that I like but the collars fray out pretty quickly. They’re a heavier material, hold up well and don’t seem to shrink though. They’re a little warm, I think that’s part of the heavier material.

I’m looking for something similar but maybe with better collars. The 2XL fits pretty decent without being sloppy and hides the Glock 19 well.

Check out American Giant. They make a really good heavyweight t-shirt.

Great T-Shirts available in different weights. The Gladiator is likely the shirt you are looking for.

While I like the shirts, they are made in the US, and reasonably priced their sales structure is annoying. Though it is kind of necessary to make sure you get the proper fit.

I got some Hanes Beefy-T's from Amazon. For like $10 a two-pack they are fine.

I’ve tried the LL Bean Unshrinkable shirt and don’t care for the material in warm weather. It doesn’t breathe, and clings to you when you sweat.

My Carhartts are only lasting about 18 months so I too am looking for a better option. The collars fray out and the corners of the pockets tear out. If you have to go Carhartt, Tractor Supply is usually cheap.

I bought a bunch of Dickies based on feedback here and they hold up well.

They used to be good. Recently I have found that the sizes are not consistent; I can order the same item number and receive some shirts that are comfortably loose, and others that are a tight fit.

That just happened to me with their cargo shorts. Had a pair that I like, ordered a second pair, same size, same item number. First pair is comfortable with an IWB holster, second pair I can barely button even without a holster, so for $40 bucks, it's getting returned.

That’s what I use and might have been one to give feedback.

Just make sure you choose the heavyweight option. They hold up great and don’t cling to you like a normal t-shirt so They seem to be a little cooler in the summer.

I was just on the Wrangler Site looking at their Riggs Work Ts. Anyone have any experience with them? I have Wrangler Riggs Cargo pants and really like them.

I've bought the Dickies pocket T work shirts and they do perform as advertised. It's a no snag knit that tolerates stuff like firewood, even concrete blocks. It's synthetic and the older versions were knit more stiffly than the new one I picked up two weeks ago.

Choice of colors ranges from road work crew or hazmat specialist to the rarer and fast selling blues and grays. I get one when I see it as they won't last.

I gave up trying to conceal with just a t shirt and only wear carry specific shirts - but I picked up 4 already at DAV and paid less than $10 apiece there. If you like plaid, of course. Those get a duty level of construction for features which does make them heavy for a casual shirt.

The Riggs Ts used to be the best IMO. When I first found them I bought three of every color I liked them so much. That was almost 15 years ago and a few of them are still going strong.

Unfortunately, they went the way of Carhartt. Made in half a dozen foreign countries with half a dozen different sizes/cuts (of the same size/cut) and half a dozen different materials/thicknesses. Some are perfect, most are returnable.

Why oh why can't they just stick with what works?

Kirkland brand t's at Costco are a good choice. They are heavier than Hanes and Fruit of the Loom t's by far. Another thing I like about them is their length.
