It won’t take Beto O’Rourke or Elizabeth Warren to become the president in order for the 2nd Amendment to get repealed, it’s happening inch by inch right before our eyes. This is going to have a devastating effect in the long run. Next it will be big name sporting goods stores like Academy Sports. And the next Democrat to take office will do all he or she can to end the online sale of ammunition and limit the amount of ammunition bought in brick and mortar stores. Enjoy the 2nd Amendment now because even though it may still exist on paper ten years from now you won’t be able to buy new firearms the way you can now nor will you be able to buy the ammunition needed to enjoy shooting as a hobby.

Interesting living in Mississippi. People running for political office here, both Dems and Republicans oppose any regulation of gun and ammo sales. It is a big part of their platform along with family, church attendance and the like. The Democrat running for Governor has him reloading ammunition as one of his primary activities. He is the current AG for the state and has a Mississippi twang, a pretty large midsection and a modified mullet haircut with fluff on top. The Republican Representative is staunchly opposed to any gun control and has made that part of his reelection campaign, front and center.

I heard the same thing back in ‘94. The Second Amendment was supposed to end by 2000. I think this is gun owners version of global warming.

In ‘94 (‘96) did we have openly Socialist candidates about to get the Democratic nomination for President? Did the majority of 20 somethings think Socialism is fundamentally better than Capitalism back then? The country isn’t the same now as it was then and it won’t be the same ten years from now. Do you think the next Democratic president is going to allow more than one high profile mass shooting under his or her term in office without doing something drastic to stop them? I don’t.

Our Congressional Rep. indicated some sort of bill will come out of the House, but that it would be dead on arrival in the Senate. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he is quite correct on any new legislation getting through the Senate.

Ignored facts still exist |
But at the state level, like CA, NY, NJ, or in DC, things aren't so good. 2A seems to vary depending on the state you happen to be travelling through, and in some states it doesn't mean jack. .

I've been thinking about what do I really need from Wal-Mart any more. I can get bath soap, shampoo and shaving supplies cheaper from the dollar stores; food cheaper from discount grocers; beer the same price from a local store (which also doesn't "card" me every damned time); printer ink cartridges from Amazon for the same price. Somebody a few pages back mentioned the Wal-Mart "credit card." At one time it really was, but it has morphed over the years into a Discover, then a Mastercard (both owned by Synchrony Bank), and is now in the process of being bought by Capital One. Capital One, whatever else you may think of them, is not anti-gun to my knowledge, or they wouldn't also own the Cabela's/Bass Pro card. I don't think you'd hurt Wal-Mart by canceling it.

After reading all of this, I stopped in our local WM and bought a 200 round box of Federal 9mm, 115 gr., for $33.00. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

^^^^ ... and you can watch the whole thing on page 8 of this thread! "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Well, the Demwitts are hoping to keep the House and take the Senate, along with the President. If that were to happen, Katy bar the door! Our only hope then will be the Supreme Court (maybe). flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Have you checked to see what their stance on firearms is? Doesn't make a lot of sense to be running from one anti-gun business to another.
I'm pretty sure even after Walmart's new policy, they (Walmart) are still selling more firearms and firearm accessories than Amazon. See above.

I’ve been thinking the same thing also. There really isn’t anything that I can’t get elsewhere, just for a few extra dollars per week. Not to mention gonna look into unloading my Wal-Mart stock. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14:1

And that is the fault of the voters in that state. THEY learned nothing in 1994. If you look at most other states, they learned lessons from it, and took measures in their spending and how they vote to ensure it never happened again. Look at Kentucky as an example. In 1994, Tom Barlow voted for the Crime Bill. He was voted out in 1996. He's ran in 13 other elections and been defeated. Since that time, on the state level, there have been 36 bills that have been passed to strengthen the 2A. We have it much better now than we ever have. For the last three election cycles, the left has pumped hundreds of millions of dollars in PAC money in Kentucky to try to turn the fanatical pro-gun tide. It virtually every election, the pro-gun candidate gets 75-85 percent of the vote. They create super PACs in the state that are plumb ridiculous. My favorite is "Kentucky Family Values". The commercials (against) the pro-gun candidates, and the actors sound like it's an episode of Hee Haw. They actually think we sound like that. Amy McGrath is running against Mitch McConnell. She's a lefty of the same proportion as AOC. She just tries to hide it. I knew she was done the day I listened to a radio commercial that was a covert recording to where she says "I'm further left than anyone in Kentucky" and then she says that she was just talking about not taking money from the gun lobby. She cut her throat there. She's toast. Each time there is a push for new gun control measures on the federal or state level, 117 or 118 Sheriffs out of 120 counties will come out strong that they will not enforce, nor will they assist in enforcing gun laws. Hell, the BATF and US Attorney's are extremely pro-gun here. That should tell anyone that is listening something. The courts in this nation in most all circuits are being packed by the day to the right. So, no. I do not believe that the in 10 years that we won't be able to buy guns or ammo. I don't believe all of this gloom and doom black helicopter stuff. I think the left wants it bad, but I also think that they are just running their cocksuckers at this point to appease the fringe in their base. You can't pay taxes to anti-gun politicians, and be bewildered about what just happened. It's pretty easy to figure, actually. They only get away with doing this shit because they can do whatever they want, and they know that John Gunowner in their state will keep pumping in money to them. Each of the states that you mention are in financial ruins. They keep getting money. If people would leave those states and leave it to the welfare crew, they eventually would stop the foolishness. But, as of right now, they get what they want, and they get the money too. There is no incentive for them to not do dumb things.

Yeah, you remember the "blue wave" last year?? You know, the sure thing of super majorities in both the house and senate? Yeah, they were "hoping" for that too. I predict right now today that Donald Trump will be re-elected by the same margins he was elected by. People in this country are tired of this crap. Just like I tried to tell people when Hillary was a "sure thing".
