SigM4How do you organize you pocket knives…and watches.,,
And flashlights…and keys?
I’ve got a cubby in the closet that keeps all my daily carry items, problem is I have multiples of each. Wondering if there’s a good organization option out there that someone’s found. Points if it’s atheistically pleasing as my wife will undoubtedly judge whatever I come up with.

RogueJSKI have a roughly 12" x 24" x 4" wooden caddy/tray that sits on top of my dresser that I use to store my most common EDC stuff: the couple most used holsters, a few mag pouches, keys, wallet, badge, the couple most used knives, the couple most used flashlights, etc.
Looks similar to this, just in darker wood:
All the other secondary gear (extra holsters, additional knives, extra flashlights, etc.) goes in dresser drawers.
I do use watch cases for my watches. For ~$20 apiece, these are cheap and do a decent job. I have a single-row 6x and a double-row 10x, in black and gray.

The clear top window not only helps when picking out a watch, but also allows light in to charge solar watches.
My only complaint is that the internal sections are just a bit narrow. Not a problem if you have a small-to-average-sized wrist and correspondingly average watch sizes of 40mm and under. But for folks like me with 8"+ wrists, who trend towards 42-44mm watches, they're slightly small.
42mm and under watches fit fine, but 44mm watches start to overlap into the next section over and you have to be careful not to scrape the neighboring watch with the crown when inserting/removing. And if you own 45mm+ watches, it would likely require staggering your watches, and you probably wouldn't be able to utilize either of the end slots unless you leave the lid open all the time.

P250UA5^ I need to get a case like Rogue's, mine are just laid out on a shelf at the moment, along with my Kershaws, OLight, wallet, etc.

NismoPretty much one of these valet trays

The knife holder is actually 3D printed to hold Glock mags, but holds knives just fine.
I've been wanting to get a rolling toolbox to store all my stuff in as most of the expensive stuff is stuffed in the safe, and the rest just piled on a shelf in the closet.

YooperSigsI use County Comm glow in the dark armorer trays for most of my small EDC stuff I keep on my bedroom dresser.
For watches, I bought a wooden display tree off Amazon. Cheap, works well and looks tolerably decent.
For flashlights and their charging gear and cords, I use one of those small plastic 3 drawer cabinets made by Sterilite.

P220 SmudgeMy wife got me a watch box like Rogue's, but with a drawer in it at the bottom which fits all the pocket knives I actually carry. It lives on my dresser. Flashlight goes in the headboard cubby when I'm not carrying it. Keys go on the nightstand.

stickman428I am currently just using watch boxes for storage but eventually I want to build something similar to this.

RogueJSKInteresting... How are the watches held in place?
April 23, 2023, 11:54 AM
P220 SmudgeWas just wondering that, myself.

SigM4Funny you should post that one Rogue. I've been looking at
this one as it has the expandable drawer available, but geez, $160 for the system is steep.
I like your tray as well. I have several similar that were handmade by my grandfather over the years. However, I'm afraid I'd just be moving my current mess from the shelf to a tray.

stickman428RogueJSK & P220 Smudge I believe there are pillows similar to a watch box that are friction held into place.
I’ve seen other designs with built in winders but they are quite expensive.

OgieWatch boxes for most of my watches and a Spyderco SpyderPac that stores 30 knives. The rest just sit around on the dresser and in a dresser drawer.

straightshooter1Some really great storage boxes shown here. I was very tempted.
Problem for me is that I don't want to leave them out if I am gone (burglars might like whatever I have, too) so I just stuff it all in one of the safes-no rhyme or reason, no organization but as safe from crooks as I can make them.

IronbuttI have one of these Spyderco storage thingies, for knives that I'm not actually using all the time. I keep it folded, so it takes up very little room.
https://www.spyderco.com/catal...rPac-trade-Large/144 The three or four knives that I use all the time I keep in a ceramic bowl on top of the gun safe, so I can switch up whenever I get the urge.
My traditional knives that I'm not actively using are kept in a Pelican case.
I've seen the Gerstner Machinist tool chests used for knife storage & display. If I could find one at a reasonable price, that's what I'd use, because eI have "a bunch" of knives.

ArtieSOrganize?
I have a nightstand with a drawer. It's in there. Somewhere.

If I had a $20k Rolex or similar, I might feel the same way.
But as it stands, my total watch collection value is about $1500. I'm not too terribly concerned about a burglar carting them off.
It'd cost more to replace a laptop, or a TV, or all my tools, or any number of other portable things around my house that people don't normally lock up in safes when they're gone.
(And it's all insured, anyway.)
Heck, $1500 is less than the cost of a few cases of ammo these days, and I've got plenty of those just lying around too.
