Met him and Boge in the airport after Shot Show one year. Always enjoyed the videos and music.

Boge’s video discussing Jeff.

I always enjoyed his more traditional videos. If I had a question of a lever gun or a revolver, I always looked to see if he had a video of it. I’m sorry to hear that.

Sorry to hear that. Gunblast was one of the first non-commercial online gun review websites I can recall. (Pre-YouTube, before everyone with a camera or smartphone decided to try their hand at doing gun reviews.)

I drifted away from it over the years for a few different reasons, but he was certainly a pioneer in that area.

Wow, he was only 61 when he passed. For some reason I would have guessed he was in his early 70's.

RIP Jeff,

Jim

That's amazing! If you had told me he was eighty, I would have believed you! Still, he was a real character, for sure, and I was a great fan of gunblasts from my very first viewing. He was one of the few lefties I've ever encountered, apart from me, that seemed quite at home with either hand, and unlike our Ian McCullum of FW, it never bothered him one bit. As an aside, watch Ian back-hand cranking the Colt Bulldog Gatling replica - it's a real treat, I tell ya.

Still, I'll miss the old codger, who always looked at least ten years older than me - and I'm 74, so far.

Gunblast was the first gun-review sight I ever subscribed to. And whenever I searched a gun on Google, I usually put Gunblast behind it to see if there was a review out there. I thought his videos were excellent because they were no-nonsense reviews. He got in-depth on the types of ammo he was shooting, especially when it came to big bore revolvers, and I liked that. Sad to see him go. He'll be missed.

I emailed him about 10-years-ago and he wrote back. We exchanged several digital letters enough to know he was a fine man. God's Speed.

I liked his reviews, and was always reading the latest or watching the vids.

Will miss his reviews like others.

The ability to look much older. Wilford Brimley and Walter Brennan come to mind. Ruth Ginsburg looks older than her age as well.

When I was looking at a particular gun, if I found a review he had done, I would always check it out.

RIP Mr. Quinn.

I liked his videos, very informative. A good man for sure. He seemed the kind of neighbor all good people would like to have and would appreciate. His heart was too good so he couldn't bring himself to say when a bad gun sucked, even while being accurate and truthful about any negative points on any particular gun. Another example of the best America has to offer. He will be missed by many. God Bless his family.

I'm really saddened to hear of his passing. Over he years I've spent untold hours watching his videos and never ever saw one that could be called a klinker. Flat out the man could shoot and he had a real wealth of knowledge. Jeff, you will always be remembered and missed by many of us.

I've stopped counting.

I’m sorry to hear of his death. I really liked his video reviews. Also, his written reviews were very well done, particularly rifle handloading data.
