Not wanting to sidetrack V-Tail's wonderful experience with looking at dealerships' online inventory (), anybody here use carsdirect.com and have a review or two for said experience?

Wife and I are about a year to 18 months away from replacing a vehicle or two and keeping thinking this may be the lesser of three evils and getting the vehicle(s) configured the way we want it/them.

They started out great 20 years ago. I got a sweet deal on a 2001 Miata at the time. Unfortunately, since then all the car buying sites seem to have shifted to being essentially oriented toward gathering leads for dealerships.

At least 12 new cars since between son, daughter and myself and all were at better prices than the carsdirect offers by negotiating personally.
