Congrats V-Tail! 50 years is quite an accomplishment.
But you probably won’t get the lobster for six bucks.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

I thought this was going to be the flight where you were a passenger but stepped in and took over when the pilot suffered a heart attack, just in time to avoid a head-on collision with a 747 being flown by a former FBI agent.

Just kidding. Congratulations on 50 years! Cool

Good story thanks for sharing it, V-Tail. And happy 50th anniversary of your first dinner date this Saturday! Does your wife still fly?

Congratulations, V-Tail.

There used to be a really good seafood place in Ocoee by the mall there but they went out of business maybe 6 years ago. We used to frequent them somewhat often. While I'm not a seafood type of person, I did enjoy their clam chowder soup. Had a lobster roll and it was good even though I'm not a lobster fan. Their fried fish sandwich was very very good! They used to be in a small corner shop in Winter Garden just down the street on Colonial but moved to a larger location. It changed when they went to the larger location.

You have met my wife and daughter. My wife and I have been together for 17 years this year.

Congratulations!

Looking at the plane, I guessed Ted Smith had a hand in its design because it looks a bit like an Aerostar. The internet says that’s true.

That is awesome, congratulations!

Did you do any engine off aerobatics on the way to Valparaiso to impress the lovely lady???....I can't see that airplane without immediately thinking of Bob Hoover.

The Tap Root Pub, that sure brings back old memories.
You must have had all your ducks in a row when you invited the Girl to dinner. A flight from Midway to Valparaso IN. must have been a very quick flight.
