Way too many moving parts and too much dependence on technology.

I'll be sticking with my handgun "safes" utilizing mechanical simplex locks.

My preference is for mechanical, rather than electronic.

Murphy's Law predates electronic safes, thus has full legal precedence.

Murphy's Law: Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and it will always go wrong at the worst possible time.

Dead battery = dead safe owner.

The original link was to the Colion Noir edition which is $60 more. I didn’t and don’t plan to compare features to figure out why the CN version costs 20% more.

I had a Vaultek safe for awhile until it wasn’t needed anymore. Worked great.

It's small enough to be used in a car or SUV so it's a major oversight to not make it easily lockable to your vehicle.

I have a Cannon Velocityvault safe, they work well for a quick access non vehicle safe. Costco was selling them for $80, but I see that most places list them at twice that.

You can't just lift it off the mounting plate unless it is open. Maybe with a crowbar...

Even if they don't have a crowbar with them, if someone mounts it to some of the items they show (e.g. night stand) those items are easy to cart off and get in later.

I have a Vaultek safe and love it! Battery life is incredible! I haven't charged mine in about 3 months and I'm still on 75%.

Before buying the Vaultek I bought a Fort Knox mechanical safe. One of the buttons stuck and wouldn't operate. So mechanicals will fail too.
