Tn226New York man arrested. “Arsenal” found after anonymous tip
They “think” some of the weapons may be legal but aren’t sure yet.
“Police said that an extensive search produced 17 firearms from the residence: six assault weapons; one loaded 25-caliber handgun, five shotguns, and five rifles.”

chellim1Did the guy do something wrong?
Why was he arrested?
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Tn226From the article
“ it was not immediately clear what lead (sic) to the arrest.”
Whatever it was, they brought swat and a Lenco Bearcat

I wonder if the police personally witnessed the weapons assault someone or if they are relying on eyewitness accounts.

sasquatch28I am clutching my fucking pearls at that arsenal... The media never wastes an opportunity to sensationalize.

parabellumBTW, the correct term would be 'battery" and not 'arsenal'. However, this doesn't sound dramatic, so they'll never get it right.
Now, the folks around here, well, 'arsenal' would be closer to the truth.

casWell the liberal, unfit to wrap a fish in,
Newsday is calling it a
"cache" in their version of the story, so even they are unimpressed by it.

smschulzOnly one was loaded?
Dumbass.

August 22, 2020, 09:48 PM
craglawnmanorDidn't Jennings make a 25 caliber? Because that would explain it being loaded. I always heard that those Jennings jammed a lot.
Probably had a round stuck in it...

maladatBased on how these articles usually go once you get past the headline, I was expecting the "arsenal" to be something more like a muzzleloader, an airsoft pistol, and a rusty surplus bayonet.
An arsenal it ain't, but it's closer than what often shows up in these things.

That made me laugh.
Then I went out and turned some dirt just in case "they" come for my "arsenal".

Fenris17? I think that's how many guns I told my wife I had.
She didn't believe me.
