A recent fatal police shooting summoned Mayor Pete back to South Bend from the campaign trail. Using traditional liberal, techniques, Mayor Pete didn't miss a chance to throw the officer under the bus. Friends and relatives demonstrated outside the police station sparking Mayor Pete to open an investigation and grand jury. An attempt to help the officer out with a Go Fund Me page was thwarted by Go Fund Me admins who claim it was a hate crime. I was headed there with my credit card. The Officer was confronted at 10 feet with an 8 inch hunting knife, raised over the suspects head. Ignored commands too drop it. Watch LiveLeak and see this shit every day. There is the question of the officers body cam not being activated but I don't know the facts. I believe South Bend doesn't have some of the advanced features. The Officer responded without lights and siren which would have activated it.

Hell, since this ding a ling started his campaign, the local news has even seemed wonky. A couple days after the Officer involved shooting, there was a shooting in a bar parking lot that killed 1 and injured 10. Then the hospital had to go on lock down because of the crowd that showed up there. It's like some one is keeping a lid on it. Didn't see suspect info, the usual names of the injured, etc.

It's no wonder South Bend is so crime ridden and violent when the Police are not supported by the Administration while they do their jobs.

Long time resident and witness to the cities decay do to Democratic leadership or should I say, lack of.

I can’t stand Pete. South Bend never used to have such a huge homeless population that was allowed to sleep in the doorways of businesses at night. At least he finally made them move out from under the bridges, guess the ‘tent’ city wasn’t such a good idea.
Not to mention the traffic is horrible. He made all the roads back to 2 way and narrowed them up so it’s making a trip home from work a nightmare. I have seen semis try to make a right hand turn and blocking the ongoing traffic cause there is literally no room to make that turn in such a large vehicle. Sheer stupidity. Used to be easy, as that road was a one way, so they had the room to maneuver. Traffic flowed nicely. Not now.

IIRC, The offender was of a certain demographic, and the Officer wasn't. And that certain demographic "community" decided to protest...

WTF is it with pinheads who escalate a damn traffic ticket into an attempted murder? Even if the truck driver had been able to kill the police officer, he would almost certainly have been captured and at a minimum, gone to prison for the rest of his life.

Just because the various Chief Associations and National FOP endorsed dimocraps doesn't mean the rank and file officers did. Really the only reasons that the FOP and other endorsed Dims in the past was because the dims endorsed rights and pay for officers......the same rights that the dims are taking away now to please a certain group of people (or folks ).

For example in the recent Missouri Senator election, Claire McCackle could only get an endorsement from the Border Patrol Officer organization (she had voted for raises, more officers and equipment). Yep after she fucked Law Enforcement over during the Ferguson Riots; no Chief, no officer organization in Missouri would endorse her. She couldn't even put a fake organization together to endorse her. Even the Border Patrol group withdrew their endorsement after what she did was explained to them

Any excuse. The trend in body camera usage took away their ability to claim “din do nuffin” was unarmed, so any made up excuse at that point would suffice. As long as they are allowed to conduct themselves in this manner, it will only get worse.

Hahahahaha. I was just making this comment the other day. I got into the car the other day with a local fed and we listened to Rush on our road trip. Most of the feds don’t vote “D” either in my experience. Not at least the worker bees.

I travel the nation, meet a lot of cops in a years time, and few vote “D” that I ever meet. It’s getting to the point around her that people are having to be registered republican to have any chance of being elected.
