1979 was a banner year for popular music, and Joe Jackson was part of the reason. He could punk out and do the new wave thing, but then he would later come out with sophisticated, but extremely catchy music, being a classically trained pianist and composer at the university level.

Great album, Night and Day. Hard to believe there are no guitars on that album.
Saw him and his band on this tour, and then later for his Body and Soul tour as well. Extremely talented guy.
