I am finally tired of AOL mail application!
Never did like it, anyway.

Any suggestions for a new email application (preferably free but not a requirement) would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have used Yahoo email longer than I can remember. My email needs are just simple communication.

Elk, I understand what you are experiencing, I personally want to distance myself from Gmail and Google. So I am interested in what others are using.

I prefer stand-alone mailers that talk to SMTP and IMAP servers (e.g. Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.) but protonmail does not look too bad for a free webmail-based provider.

I really loved my Thunderbird when I was able to get it. Thanks to windstream BS I am using only a wifi hotspot from Verizon for internet accessibility and now stuck with gmail. Thunderbird is free.

T-Bird is a great stand alone and free desktop client, works with POP or IMAP. You can have multiple accounts, keep them with separate inboxes, or combine them so all mail comes to a single inbox. Even better, after using it for many years on Windows, I transferred it to a Mac by simply copying the files over. The only task is to edit profiles.ini to point it to the location of the files on the new OS, and then it opens up with all of your mail and profiles, even in the same sized window you had before.

If you don't want to use any of the http/imap services (Outlook.com/gmail.com/yahoo.com, etc) then maybe your ISP has an account for you.
Most ISP's provide an email for you > (ATT/Comcast, etc) then use a client such as Outlook or Thunderbird.

You could ditch the app and just make a book mark for the sign in. Your browser will remember sign in and password.
I have Google also.
....I use to have my isp email but it changes and causing problems.
I went to change things here and couldn't get to where the email to confirm was....had to start another account. This site also will not accept gmail or aol. So don't mess with your personal information if you can't confirm it.

I've been using mail.com for over 20 years. They have several choices for domains, allow for multiple accounts you can merge or not. And they have apps as well. If you need a gazillion gigs of storage, you can pay $24/year. Otherwise free.
