Turning 100k. Originals replaced at 50k with Pirelli Scorpion 245 65R 17’s. She will get a few more weeks out of them, but will require replacement before we get snow. Looking for another all season radial in stock size with good tread life as my primary concern. Price always a consideration, but looking for a good value. Any suggestions? Thanks to all.

Hit tirerack.com and look at reviews.

For all season i like the continental dws06 but it’s more of a sportier tire. I don’t think they make it for truck/suv.

I did buy some yokohamas at my local discount tire the last time i bought tires.

I don’t know what tire to use but I buy all my tires at Discount Tire. Great prices and even better service. I’ve brought multiple tires to them with damage and they’ve repaired or replaced them fast and with zero hassle.

i am not a michelin guy or a soft hiway tire guy either. I would look at Hankook to see if they offer anything you like. Very good tire line and a great value. Cooper as well. Oddly enough if on sale I like some Goodyear offerings as well.

I never dealt with snow. But had michelin’s In 265/70/17 on a 2008 Ford Expedition and was very pleased with them. Very quiet, great traction in the rain, smooth ride. Etc.

I've been very impressed with the Nokian tires on my vehicles. Look at the Nokian WRG3 SUV tires.

If they're available in the size required, we've been very happy with the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ on our Flex.
Does really well in wet and dry, no complaints in the short sub-freezing temps we drove through in Flagstaff e as earlier this year.

My daughter’s 2015 Highlander also needs tires. I just ordered a set of the Michelin Defender LTX M&S through Costco.

Ive heard good things about Tirerack but I want a local shop for mounting and balancing. I will use them for research though, thanks.
While I dont know anything about some of the other “newer” brands, and they may very well be good tires, old fashoned me is sticking with a more traditional name. Maybe Toyo though, seems to have what Im looking for.

We have Yokohama Geolander GO55s on my wife’s 2012 Highlander and they are great.
Smooth quiet and great traction in all weather.
I was surprised at how well they handled in deep snow. They are complete beasts coupled with the AWD I had zero issues.

I think Toyo Proxies, maybe open countries, were the factory tires and the Yokohama’s are way better and we’re substantially cheaper.

I have had Geolander AT/S on my Explorer and Silverado which were great tires though a mild All Terrain which led me to the G055s which are the Highway tread. And am very happy they will certainly be purchased again for the Highlander.

Looks like they are on sale for $115 plus $50 mail in rebate at Tire rack.

I've been very pleased with my Continental Crosstrack LX20's. Quiet and excellent in winter weather. I have 25k miles on them and you'd never know it.

As side note, I only deal with Discount tire. Their customer service can't be beat.

Why not go with the Pirellis again? You got 50k out of them.

Whether you end up buying from them or not Tire Rack lets you research and compare pretty much everything out there so you can determine what best suits your requirements and budget. Their prices are usually good and the installers they recommend have been decent whenever I’ve used them. Costco does free rotations though and the price in this case was exactly the same so I’m going there.

I was driving primarily highway, but managed 150K miles on a set of these. That's not a typo.

Michelin LTX is my go to tire. Never a bad experience across many different installations including a highlander (that's my mom's).

NO J it is not a typo but rather a joke. No kidding. You cannot be serious. The last two or three sets of michelins I purchased were damn near shot at 25k. No that is not a typo. Eek

Have these on out two Foresters. Wearing well. My wife's ate Michelin Premiere LTX in 25k miles so I would avoid those completely. Had to change the size to get the Defender LTX but they are much better.

I've had a set of Hankook ATm on my wife's Pilot for a few years now, not sure of the mileage but it's up there. I'm really happy with their performance in a very warm climate with roads that are tough on tires.

When these are replaced I'm goin to Hankook's Dynapro HT, just don't see the need for the all terrain for the driving she does.

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Winter rated tire, great traction on and off road. 50,000 mile treadwear warranty. By far my favorite tire.

Some people always swear by the Michelin LTX, but that is the worst tire I've ever had on any platform. They unfortunately do last forever, because they have no grip in any conditions. I've never actually wanted to wear a set of tires out before them, but they just wouldn't die. I finally ended up replacing them after about 50k miles because I couldn't stand them anymore, and they still had tread left.

"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."
