I’ve had a similar experience with my old TV – it lasted forever but eventually started acting up with software glitches, so I get the frustration. For your budget, both the Sony Bravia and the LG OLED C4 are solid choices. The picture quality on OLED is hard to beat, but it’s a bit more pricey if you go above 55". The Samsung "Frame" QLED is nice for the aesthetics, especially if you're into the whole art display thing, but it’s more about the look than the performance. If you’re sticking with your Apple TV 4K, you’ll be fine with pretty much anything, as long as it has good HDMI ports and supports the basics. You might also want to check reviews on long-term reliability, since that seems to be the issue with your Vizio.

I agree. I learned about Samsung from this forum and have stuck with them.

I've been seeing big ass TVs in Costco for under $1,000. He's got enough to buy a Samsung soundbar also. Makes a big difference.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I got the LG OLED from Costco. GREAT picture, but the software sucks. I'd be watching something and it would just stop.

so I had to buy a firestick as a workaround. That combo works great.
