Leave the gun. Take the cannoli. |
https://turnto10.com/news/loca...retty-nurses-granted Perhaps someone can imbed the video that goes with it. Kudos to the nurses and the Bentley dealer. COVENTRY, R.I. (WJAR) — A veteran who is spending the remainder of his days in the care of Beacon Hospice had a wish granted on Monday. Patrick Lonergan said he joined the military during the height of the Vietnam War in 1968. He's battling End-stage COPD, uses an oxygen machine, and has been a resident at Coventry Health Care since March. "I was told that I will probably die with the disease not from the disease," said Lonergan. During his last "monthly" meeting, Lonergan said he made a comment to his caretakers that prompted action from them. "You know they were asking me questions what else can they do for me this month; 'How can we help you?' What can we do for you?'" said Lonergan. "The third time they asked, 'What can we do for you?' I kind of threw my hands up and said, 'How about a ride in a convertible with three pretty nurses?' And they took me seriously."

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. |
We hear so much crap everyday but the reality is that there are a lot of kind and caring people in this world. Good job nurses. Hospice workers are angels. ________________________ "Don't mistake activity for achievement." John Wooden, "Wooden on Leadership"

That is absolutely outstanding! That, that is exactly how our elderly, and veterans should be treated. It’s rare, but damn, I think someone is cutting onions around here. Thank you for sharing that! The “lol” thread
