Il CattivoEveryone who's ever had to refuel a rental before returning it and catching a flight they're running late for owes the man a huge debt.

AllenInARMust have been late 2018, or you got the wrong guy.
Moylan spoke on the “Every Little Thing” podcast’s Oct. 8, 2018 episode, describing his epiphany. “I had to go to a meeting in another building on a rainy day. When I went to get the pool car, I started it and noticed the gas gauge was empty,” he said. “I pulled up to the gas pump on the wrong side, so I had to move it.”

cparktdWell better late than never...
Couldn't let such a man's life go uncelebrated...
I always wished I had invented something simple but that benefited millions... the example I have used before are fingernail clippers... but at my age the chances are getting pretty slim that won't happen!

Oh no, you nailed it. I was talking to Tator.
I don't recall the arrow NOT being there, but I only recall driving two pre-'86 cars.
I DO wonder what happened to the floor-mounted high beam switch.

re the switch, American car makers copied the Japanese, and I think Euro car makers and went with them on the steering wheel,
my friends 77 and my 79 Celica had them on the stalk,
I cannot remember if my wife's 80 skylark had it on the floor or stalk, (that car was a total POS)
