Some of you will be familiar with Steve Wallis' youtube channel. If not, he practices stealthy camping. This one is particularly creative.

Time for a "Step 2"

Found him years ago. Great videos, and he seems like a down-to-earth guy.

Leave that most places in Chicago and those pallets would be converged on in minutes.
It would be worth watching when the pallet thief's discover a guy living in them.

It looks pretty cool for a youtube video but not very practical. Where is the head, does it have a hole in the floor? And if someone parks right behind you is there a way to get out?

It’s kind of like what the people smugglers used in the movie No Country for Old Men.

It's interesting and creative. But where would that not look out of place? Especially in camp sites?

I may not have noticed but I'm not sure I've ever seen a load of pallets being transported, private vehicle especially but not even commercial. But granted, I need to get out more. Is this actually common in other other areas?

I've never done it but I understand pallets burn really well.

I've seen loads of pallets being hauled around town, usually stacked pretty high and not quite as uniform as in the video.

Popular youtube channels face pressure to create a steady stream of new content. You should view this as being for entertainment purposes only.

It's clever and funny. That's about it.

Must be an east coast thing Smile

I guess I was considering it too pragmatically and less entertaining. Conceptually interesting though - place to sleep that doesn't look like a place to sleep nor something desirable to steal. The decepticon of campers. Be great for a truck bed.

I thought it was pretty cool. Good way to hide from the spousal unit if you have a big enough yard.

Not uncommon in central california. Often a ratty ancient Datsun pickup with pallets stacked ridiculously high and looking very sketch.

Many business receive products on pallets and leave the pallets out for folks to cart away. Kids use them for bonfires, heck in the early days of the ranch I used to collect the heavy four way pallets (can fork lift from any side) for organizing stuff. I never fidured out what the guys were doing with their huge overloaded stacks, but you do see them once in a while.

You know why divorce is expensive, because its worth it.

Building owner watching his security camera has already sent "guy in pallet camper in my lot" videos to 50 friends.

Not at all uncommon around city of St. Louis.

My family and I love Steve Wallis. His stealth camping videos are fun, and he’s demonstrated a lot of creativity over the years. Plus, some of his camping sites must’ve required a lot of guts: wooded roundabouts, freeway medians, the woods near a police station, overlooking a McDonald’s drive-thru. He doesn’t seem to have an ounce of malice in him, and he really seems like an affable guy.

It'd be better and much stealthier if it were built on a flat bed pickup and you could enter from the cab also. I'll doubt you'll need the sticker that says: "Don't come knockin' if this truck's rockin'" I'll surmise only an abode made from shit impresses the ladies less.
