Where do these ship from? In addition to tax and shipping, they also wanted to add a Tarrif Surcharge.

At that time they had a great deal at about 50% off their normal retail.

I was in the market for something hard walled better than minimal & not as expensive as Pelican, for my limited use. The first one I got was so good I ordered more.

They're based in Texas, but, made in a large country in Asia, where they've got a big manufacturing base, a single-party government, and their neighbors don't like them.

They will ship from one of RTIC's distribution centers, however they are made in China. I'm sure that is where the tariff surcharge is coming from.

I recently ordered a Cordova, similar styles and prices, but made in the USA. They also support the NRA. I'll report back after I get some miles on it.

Also check out Bison coolers that are 100% made in the USA. I have their 50qt hard cooler and 2 of their soft coolers and they have all been excellent. I’ll gladly pay a small premium for a high quality US company compared with a Chinese made competitor.
