Why would being 74 hold you back, grumpy1?

I have to agree with ridewv. About 2001 I was fortunate enough to meet a retired pilot while on a MC tour. He was in his seventies at that time. It was impressive enough that a couple of riding buddies and I visited the San Diego area for a winter get away and rented some bikes so we could meet up and ride with him.
During that ride we met another friend of his. Dude was 82 and riding a ZX1000. And dude sure as hell knew how to ride.
Also had a mid 80's guy in our local club in the St. Louis area at that time.

Just a personal decision. I am very fit and strong for my age and strength train regularly but my reaction time is not what it used to be and we don't heal as fast as we used to either if injured but the biggest reason is where I live there is just too much traffic, crappy roads, and way to many shitheads on the road including all of those on their phones when driving. If I lived somewhere else a bit more rural I would probably consider getting a new lighter and smaller bike like what stickman428 is showing and do some riding again.

It is such a stupid fun bike! I just got back from a quick ride. For around town errands and commuting to work it’s the bike I keep choosing…and I’ve got a bit of a bullpen to choose from. Wink

I think come September I’m gonna add a Honda Monkey to the garage. My local Honda fun store expects some more monkeys in the fall. Cool

Stick, have you thought about turning one of these into a stunt bike? It looks like a lot of fun.
