40th High School reunion.
My high school was in the country and was very small at the time. Our 42 grads was the biggest class our school had seen to that point.

I attended our ten year reunion, missed the twenty-five and the chance to participate in the homecoming parade as the honored class, and ended up in charge of the 30 year reunion. Some of the locals helped since I live further away than anyone else, and we had a blast with a catered meal, DJ, etc. For 35, we kept it simple, and had another nice time. I’m looking forward to 40 in a few more years.

I attended the 10th reunion. It was a drag. Haven’t been to one since.

Maybe it’s best to remember my classmates as we were, instead of how we are 40+ years later.

You know, I was pretty much in the same situation. But at the 50th Reunion I found that the guys who had been the Jocks (and who pretty much had ignored me--no bullying, just inattention) were among the most friendly and seemed to have pleasant memories of me. You might discover the same phenomenon. You will be better remembered than you imagine.

May have to think about going to the 55th.
Thanks for the idea.
