If all the pickles in America ran a race, Claussen would win without breaking a sweat. In second place, Wickles. In last place, panting and gasping, limp, soggy Mt.Olive.

I have not been able to find Claussen Hearty Garlic Pickles for more than a year.

However, on the same shelf where Claussen should be in the refrigerated section of Publix, there is a decent stock of these. Very good, a bit different from the Claussen, maybe a bit more pepper flavor.

I’m glad it’s not just me that hasn’t been able to source them. My wife puts them on her lunch almost daily. And several stores have been sold out. Walmart finally got a case in, I debated buying 2 for her. Doesn’t like spears or the sweet pickles. Must be dill slices, clausen. Not the brand that doesn’t need to stay cold or some other house brand. Clausen or don’t bother

I took the last slice out of my jar of Claussen Sandwich Slices today. Snif.

But there’s a silver lining: now I can begin drinking the pickle juice!

Yeah the Claussens have been missing for a while, during the dempanic we had them all the time, now, every so often they show up, basically we stopped looking. those Ba-Tampte are there, tried them once, wasn't too keen on them...

Like you said, different taste...

I've been buying them because Clausen is nowhere to be found. I have discovered that I like them better now, than I did at first. The taste is a bit more "pepper" than Clausen.

Another one of their products that's pretty good are the green pickled tomatoes, similar to the ones that were sold from a wooden barrel when I was a kid in Brooklyn.

Pipe Smoker,

FYSA, Stater Bros. On Carmel Mountain Rd, just off the 56, has many jars in cooler. I picked up a jar, along with tomatoes, lettuce, and Setzer Brothers salami, for a sammich in your honer today.

Oh, and on Dudley’s jalapeño & cheese bread. Big Grin
