Interesting, I was considering the Air. What was the Apple guy's logic for bypassing the Air?

911BossI don’t know about his logic but personally I would never consider the Air.
$200 more than the 17, no wide angle camera and less battery
For $100 more than the Air, you can get 17 Pro with three rear facing camera and more battery.
For some it is all about weight and thickness. Personally, I don’t get it. Even in a case, the “regular” thickness phones aren’t that big and heavy.
Of course my first cell phone was one of these…

HRKLighter, thinner, has all the capabilities the average user will ever need, large screen, faster processors, good camera.
https://www.apple.com/iphone-air/You can compare them online.

Again, we went there for a larger screen for my wife, so the choices were the Air and the Pro Max since there was no Plus this go-‘round.
My wife is very non-technical, and she is very trusting of ‘nice’ and ‘knowledgeable’ appearing salespeople. So when the salesperson we got heard what we wanted, he said he didn’t understood why Apple produced the Air with a mismatch in chips(main/graphics), the ‘lesser’ camera, higher price, and lesser battery life.
Battery life, being a little less, would have been any issue, but chips and the single but more than capable camera wouldn’t have mattered one way or another to my wife.
She turned to blubber, and our discussion of preference before arriving and after arriving, being hands-on while awaiting a salesperson for an hour, went to the door.
Since he said she didn’t need what the Pro Max offered in the way of the superior cameras, but for the larger screen, he directed her to the 17 since the screen is a hair larger than that of her old 13.
Wife is happy, so mission accomplished!
