I have not seen a crash this scary in a loooooooong time. Zarco’s Ducati ghost riding into a wall and flipping end over end right over Maverick and Rossi was just insane.

It’s a miracle no one was killed in this crash.

What a bunch of lucky riders one of those tumbling bikes could have easily hit someone.

Looks like a case of "this space is mine" followed by flying bikes... Common cause of massive wrecks when egos attempt to occupy the same space.

Wow! Those were some lucky riders. I guess God was really looking out for them. That one bike looks like it went right over the lead rider.

Yeah, you can see Maverick let go of his bike and try to duck under the flying bike.

Looks like the bike in front braked or lifted unexpectedly resulting in rear to front tire contact. Certainly seems a little too early to brake for the upcoming corner, but what do I know having never raced a bike. Blame the rider in front for an unexpected move, or the rider behind for not giving himself some options? Good job to the other riders who maneuvered around the tumbling chassis and debris.

The rider involved in this crash has a history of hitting other riders and causing mischief and mayhem on the track.

The guy whose bike ghost rode into the wall was penalized for hitting a rider in the last race actually. Zarco is probably going to get an earful from the powers that be at MotoGP.

I believe the late Dr. John Hinds of “Cases from the Races” said, motorcycle racers are hurt more often by getting entangled with a crashing motorcycle than by the crash itself.

When Rossi made it back to the pits they said his bike was covered in oil.

A few lucky riders in that race. Amazing that no one took a direct hit from the 'ghost' bike.

If any of you have even a remote interest in motorcycle racing THIS is the season to start watching.

NBC Sports picked up MotoGP and will be televising round two at the Red Bull Ring this Sunday. Yes that’s right they will be racing again at the same track where that horrific crash occurred last Sunday.

Why do I think this is THE season to watch/start watching?

-Defending champion is out currently with a broken arm (he might come back before the season is done)

-KTM won their first race and have a good shot at winning another one this Sunday at their home track

-factory bikes are struggling and satellite teams are winning races

-Yamaha might run out of engines before the season is done

-Ducati won’t sign a guy who just won a race for them this past Sunday and who is their best shot at a championship

-Suzuki is looking incredible and threatening Ducati at a track that is all straight line speed and is only 1.6 mph slower on turn 2 at Spielberg (Red Bull Ring) after the long straight.

-Young riders are winning races and getting ether first podiums

-it is wildly unpredictable

-at 41 years of age and in a bone shatteringly brutal sport Valentino Rossi is still racing and still competitive. It’s the equivalent of getting to see the Michael Jordan or Peyton Manning of their sport compete.

Apparently somebody had an issue with that video and it got removed. Now I really want to see it.
