Picked up 3 S&W magazines from a bargain box at the Jerkwater gun show. Two I identified as being for my S&W 645. This one is too short to fit it. I thought maybe it was for a Chief Special .45, but a little research indicates that those are 6 round mags, and this holds 7.

Do any of you guys recognize this type and know what it should fit? Thanks!

It's for the 3rd Gen .45 compacts (4513/4516/4536/4553/457/etc.)

If you have one of these guns, I advise that you snag that mag, because S&W doesn't make either any more.

Agreed. And it should also work in a Chiefs Special, other than sticking out of the grip.

They look like the ones for my S&W 457 (as mentioned).
