BassamaticI read about this kind of stuff all the time but wonder how much of it is just theater. How many of those skilled workers are actually going to uproot their families and follow Musk? Maybe a lot, I really don't know.

Any decision to relocate would NOT necessarily be contingent on the number of employees that would commit to make the move with them. Pretty sure they have 'skilled workers' in Texas and Nevada.

This commie bitch is the reason Orange County went blue in 2018, every U.S. Congressional house seat went Democrat for the first time ever. sigcrazy7The disagreement with Alameda is a catalyst, not the reason, for the move. If it made good business sense to manufacture vehicles in Fremont, GM/Toyota would still be there. The reason Tesla got the plant for such a bargain is because you can’t make affordable vehicles in the California regulatory/cost-of-living environment.
This pandemic has only accelerated the inevitable —the move to a cheaper tax environment. I don’t think Elon is bluffing, except maybe on the “immediately” part.
