Megyn Kelly to leave Fox for NBC

ensigmaticMegyn Kelly to leave Fox for NBC
Yesterday NBC had some or another show on with Katie Couric. My wife asked "What is Katie Couric doing there?" "It's NBC," I answered. "The most fake news network of them all. Seems appropriate."
So that's where Megyn Kelly is headed? Well, good luck with that, Ms. Kelly.

jigray3If Kelly and NBC think her success is not attributed in large measure to her presence on FOX sandwiched between O'Reilly and Hannity, they are in for a rude awakening. Put Laura Ingraham in that slot and watch her crush Kelly's numbers.
I doubt it's a fit ideologically, either. NBC is a refuge for died in the wool GDC's. She may not be as conservative as I prefer, but I doubt the NBC talent will welcome her with open arms.

VeeperDoes she seriously think anyone is going to change the channel over to NBC if they're a Fox viewer? WTF.

sdyAS time went on, I strongly suspected that Megyn Kelly truly wanted Hillary Clinton to win.
I saw several speeches she gave to different women's groups where Kelly gushed on and on about how exciting it was to see so many "powerful" women in one place. She seemed pretty infatuated w women being in power positions.
Sometimes people that are successful in one setting do not do as well when they make a dramatic change in environment. She may be one of those people. She was cultivated and developed as a news "star" at Fox. Fox dumped Roger Ailes because of sexual harassment claims, but it was also just as Rupert Murdoch was handing the business over to his two sons. The sons despised Ailes.
Ailes was the architect and builder of Fox News.
So, just guessing, but I expect a year or two from now, MK will not be the super star "news" person with a huge viewership that she is now.
The way I see it: Ailes took Kelly from a nobody to a $20 million / year star in 12 years. She always had the highest praise for Ailes, until at the very end she stabbed him in the back.
Could be a good opportunity to move Hannity back to the 9pm slot.

Good freakin' luck, mean girl. Your audience will not follow. You'll have to go full-on tabloid to fit in with the rest of the daytime lineup. Kiss your career goodbye. Enjoy the ride into oblivion.

Crazytown.
Exactly this. Not many of her regular viewers are going to follow her over to NBC. That means that she is effectively starting over. And she's going to be on a day time news show? And Sunday night? Yeah, oblivion.

SigmanicShe's easy on the eyes, I'll certainly give her that. Maybe FOX will put Kimberly Guilfoyle in her slot? I could live with that, visually speaking and otherwise.

She's obviously from the old school of thought - that the combination of 'bitchy' and 'liberal' is the golden key to media glory for blonde women everywhere.

Watch her now disappear into oblivion.
I can't remember how long ago it was that I actually spent more than 1 second with her on the TV screen. It took me that long to change the channel.
Since I/we never watch NBC anyway . . . . .

ChicagoSigManNews people aren't celebrities to me. They read the news. I don't tune in to Fox to see Megyn Kelly. I tune to Fox to catch up on the news. Whether it's Kelly or someone else reading it, I don't really give a rat's ass. Kelly did seem to have a chip on her shoulder and thought of herself as a celebrity. She seemed to think that her take on the news was more important than the news itself. For that reason, I won't miss her at all. I also never thought she was particularly attractive, but I guess that's a matter of taste.

HRKNBC is off on my Directv, seems they have
issues with contracts, so no Today show, no NBC and I think ABC is off as well..
Good for her, perhaps she'll be the Juan Williams counter point at NBC, I wouldn't presume she's a liberal, maybe she is, who knows, don't really care either, since it doesn't matter...

parabellumI'll tell you when she knew her goose was cooked at Fox- November 9th, 2016 at about 2:30 AM EST. I watched her when the news came through that Clinton had conceded. She smiled at the camera so pleasantly, but she knew that she was done at Fox.

IrishWindI liked her before she took over Sean Hannity's 9:00 slot. I had hopes she would bring her smarts and insight to the Prime Time. When it turned out it was Bill O'Riely 2.0, I stopped watching. Getting two people from the fringe of both sides to yell at each other is just Pro Wrestling with out the fake body slams and moments of quiet.
