From the top of the heap to one step above Jerry Springer.

Jeez, what a colossal collapse.

Megyn Kelly reaction to Matt Lauer being fired for cause.......staff not happy with her making the situation all about herself.

The staffers took the opportunity to criticize Kelly for her show’s ratings, which have steadily declined during the past few months since its premiere.

“No one wanted Megyn here, she was forced upon us and today reinforced why she will never be a member of the Today family,” one staffer said.

“And here’s something we’d like to say about her – she’s terrible on morning television, her show is terrible, her staff think she is terrible,” another staffer remarked.

Megyn Kelly leaves NBC with all of her $69 million contract intact

Megyn Kelly and NBC have officially parted ways.

The split was announced on Friday ending a drawn-out and acrimonious exit that was put in motion in the fall after Kelly defended Halloween costumes that incorporate blackface during a segment on her 9 a.m. talk show.

"The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC," the network said Friday night.

Kelly is halfway through a three-year contract worth a total of $69 million

Bowing to the terms of the contract, NBC will pay Kelly the remaining sum of money, believed to total about $30 million, two of the sources said

Good for her. Maybe these companies will start rethinking these ludicrous contracts.

Megyn Kelly has always been good at looking out for Megyn.
But I can't blame her one bit. As much as I dislike her, she wasn't fired 'for cause'. The Halloween costumes comments controversy was completely fabricated. She said nothing wrong.

I bet if she had a "do-over" on the last 3 years or so she would have approached that Presidential debate differently, she wouldn't have made it all about her, she wouldn't have pissed off at least half the country, and she might still be at FOX News.

She was a rising star who, like Icarus, flew too high and went too close to the sun and fell from the heights.
But... she still has a ton of money.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

She can retire now and somehow, she'll manage to get by.

She made $70 MILLION with her move to NBC. That’s on top of making a lot at Fox.

She’s forty something and can retire and live a great life with her family. She might look back someday and think being fired was the best thing ever to happen to her.

I often wonder if my work schedule is worth it. I turn 41 next week and think about retiring early and living a much simpler life that is focused on my family and my community...but then I open a thread about a new gun I “need” and realize I need to keep my job. Big Grin

Next step in the fall should be the journalistic equivalent of turning tricks for meth, aka she becomes a "CNN Anchor"

She won't miss a meal or a mortgage payment. Hate on her all you want, but this woman has played her cards better than most. Maybe she's in it for the ego, in which case, she may wander around in the career wilderness for a while before landing on her feet again. But, having just lost my job, I can only dream of having her problems.

Fuck cancer. I'm sorry for for what you and your family/friends have been through.

Even though this gal is a goof on air (apparently good at making money) I'm glad she brought some information to the table regarding cancer.

Oh, fuck cancer with a red hot piece of rebar bent 180 degrees and may its sphincter become an outie like a stressed lab monkey.
