This is a crazy pursuit on so many levels.

You know, it's 2022. After the last few years, I'm ok with police carrying pocket flame throwers.

so many questions....

What was the fuel in this fire?

There just happened to be all these cars with hoods up parked at that location in the middle of the night. Um, ok.

I recall a former LEO member of this forum saying that being Tazered is optional. Generally one chooses to be Tazered by means of their behavior. Something to keep in mind I guess.

Gas canister in jacket. Superficial burns. Will make full recovery.
Talk about hot pursuit!

Ok, makes more sense. I thought maybe he farted at the exact moment of the Taze.

They should have put him out by running him over, backing up and doing it again and again until he was out.

The rider has zero skill. Doesn’t know how to lean a bike at all. He could barely turn. Major league rookie. Anyone with real skill could have dropped that cruiser like a bad habit and they’d need a helo. No, not recommending that.

Stupid is as stupid does.

He is pretty lucky, though. He managed to survive the dreaded wobble of death around the 5:30 mark.

That was wicked! Eek

I'm not sure whether the wobble or the fire would have been more frightening.

For me, it would definitely be the fire. The wobble of death would be two or three seconds of terror but running around on fire like that had to be a hell on earth type experience.

The bike looks and sounds like a low displacement model which isn’t all that fast when compared to a cruiser. His best bet would have been sticking to side streets and make my fast, multiple turns. Luckily, his skill level was shit as was his decision making ability. Alls well that ends well.

Sounds/looks like an older 600-750cc to me.
The dual taillights makes me think late 80s-early 90s

Most of it looked like he was just out for an oblivious Sunday ride.

Not sure if still the case, but was told that HPD had a no pursuit policy for motorcycles om the early 2000s. Too much likelihood of someone dying, I'd assume.

Problem solved.

Back when we first got OC spray the carrier was alcohol. That was ok until some guy in NY with a knife was sprayed, then tazed, and went up like a roman candle. But he did drop the knife and the OC manufacturers changed the formula after that
