I'm sick and tired of the " together" mantra being shoved in my face by almost every politician during press conferences, from Public Service Announcements, radio and TV promos, Hollywood/ Music/ Sports events and concerts, community organizations, and (even as a Christian) now from church leaders...quit with the "together" already.
Brad, that was great! I'd never seen that before so thanks for posting. I'm going to have to make the time to read the other (lengthy) 10 parts.

Response back from Land O'Lakes from the email I sent.
Hello,
Thank you for your email regarding our new packaging. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment.
As Land O'Lakes looks toward the 100th anniversary of our cooperative in 2021, we’re seeking new ways to tell our farmer-owned story to consumers. We’re doing this by rolling out new packaging for our products, which began in 2019. The new packaging features words like “Farmer-owned” and “Since 1921” above vibrant images of land and lakes. While the packaging is new, the ingredients in the products have not changed and the same delicious products are inside. We appreciate your comments and will share them with our product team.
We hope this helps you understand our goal in making this change. Please let us know if we can be of assistance in the future.
Sincerely,
Nicole Land O'Lakes Consumer Affairs

At the Publix they have both the new and old labels still on the shelf..
Honestly I could not care less (did I say that correctly? ) Lots of advertising slogans and images of our youth have changed to reflect a changing society. Us old farts are not the future of butter buying for the next 100 years...

If a company, on it's own volition, decides to change its product, marketing, branding/ packaging I may be nostalgic and miss the "old", but I can live with that change...what I object to is a company that caves into SJW pressure over an iconic image that was long associated with their products.
IF this decision was truly about rebranding their image and featuring their co-op farmers down-to-earth back-to-nature wholesome goodness...couldn't they have found a way to integrate the iconic image of the Indian girl with this new branding image? I'm no marketing whiz but that's how I would've approached it.
Especially since they are apparently all about "together" now.

If Native Americans want us to erase their history, so be it. Screw ‘em.
Here’s an excellent article regarding statements by the son of the Native American artist who created the “Butter Maiden” on the Land O’ Lakes package, which he updated in 1954. Quite contrary to the idea that it is a racial stereotype, the artist deliberately portrayed Ojibwe beadwork, and the setting was Red Lake in Minnesota, a place well known to the local Ojibwe Indians.
If Land O’Lakes really cared about the feelings of Native Americans, they would have had a major public relations campaign about the authenticity of the image, rather than obliterating it and thereby insulting Native Americans.

Very interesting article, sjtill. I didn't comment on this earlier, but ages ago I'd heard the maiden was a depiction of a Chippewa lady. Now I know the facts. The artist also created the Hamm's Beer Bear, and since I have a six pack of Hamm's in the fridge may as well lift one to Mr. DesJarlait.

Yes, because this (a few posts above yours):
"If a company, on it's own volition, decides to change its product, marketing, branding/ packaging I may be nostalgic and miss the "old", but I can live with that change...what I object to is a company that caves into SJW pressure over an iconic image that was long associated with their products.

I’m sick of seeing a VERY vocal minority get its way. THAT is why I am upset. Sure I didn’t like to see the beautiful Native American woman leave the packaging but I’m more upset because a small group of not so merry fools got their way and can now move on to the next moronic cause.

No more Native American woman on the LOL butter. No Indian names in sports or school teams. So then the question arises why are the liberals so racist against native Americans.

I just looked in the refrigerator. The Indian girl is on the container of Land O'Lakes half & half that I bought last week.Edit: I just looked at it again when I put some in my coffee. The Indian girl on the half & half is holding a package of Land O'Lakes butter. The image is pretty small and my eyes are 83 years old, but I looked at it with a magnifying glass and I think that the package of butter she is holding has a picture of an Indian girl. This message has been edited. I know it’s bad for me but I love to melt their salted butter and then pour it on popcorn. Or spread a little of it with salt and pepper on my steak.
I hate all the pc crap but I’m pretty sure I’ll continue to buy the butter.
