BOATTRASH1New Windshield Wiper Time - Recommendations Needed
I have used Bosch Icon for years.
I also polish my widows 2x per year and apply Rain X. I use Rain X fluid also.
And OKC, I've seen lots of covers over wiper blades on class A motor homes. If the yacht I run stayed out in the sun I'd get some for the blades on it.

Try Ollies, I found Tristar blades for my Tundra for less than $4 each. Wiper blades denigrate very quickly in the florida sun. Best of luck
Yup. I too, am in Florida, as is ArtieS who started this thread with the question.
I arrived here 37 years ago, and have found that heat is the enemy, and I have not found any significant difference in wear, between expensive wipers and the cheapest that I can find at Walmart or Advanced Auto (they give a military / veteran discount). I just pick them by price and change as needed.
Yep same here, and if you leave the vehicle outside, basically it's an annual thing, when the rain season hits, head to Costco, $20 and I've got a brand new set on the truck.
Like changing oil, it's a FL Thang...

EdmondI guess my wipers last because I always keep my cars in the garage. I can't stand parking cars outside.

Rey HRHI buy the OEM inserts and replace them every year just before the rainy season.

We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Yep motorcraft go by your dealer and pick up a pair, I find they do last the best! JMO

AeteoclesBosch Icons in my vehicles.
A word of caution on the Rain-X washer fluid. Some cars use an electronic sensor (rather than a mechanical float) in their fluid level monitoring. Purportedly does not play nice with the Rain-X fluid.

RogueJSKI use Bosch Icon or Rain-X Latitude wipers, paired with the orange Rain-X washer fluid.

gpbst3I will never buy rain x blades again. Had a set one month old that would streak and skip. Emailed them with no response.
I have been happy with the Napa brand blades

Calif PhilTrico now has some USA made wiper blades, that is what I bought. Always try and buy USA made products, plus the blades have been fantastic.

I have a 2018 expedition so it's similar. I've found the rain-x ones are pretty good but the blade shape makes them lift a little from the windshield at 70-75+ mph. Bosch didn't last long here in South Florida. The Michelins at Costco for $10 each work pretty well for the money. BUT, nothing worked as well as the motorcraft wipers or lasted as long and they're only $13 each at partsgeek.
