Need a wedding song
My son is getting married next month. He just texted Mrs. Pal and said she needs to come up with a song for their dance. She is at a loss. Can anyone suggest something. Thanks in advance.

This is a great one:

It was the song for me and my wife's first dance.

"You light up my life" - the Carol King song, not the stupid one by Debbie Gibson.

One clarification, this song would be for the dance that my wife and my son do together.

No idea how young people would feel about it, but "There is Love" is known as The Wedding Song.

It's beautiful, but dated, and maybe worn out in some people's opinion.

To quote Emily Litella, "Oh, that's entirely different! never mind.".

My wife really wanted my mother/son dance to be Simple Man. I honestly don't remember what it was though.

Oh, mom and son dance. What a Wonderful World would be a good one.

I've enjoyed the music so far. I'm a big Sam Cooke fan and the wedding song was Mrs. Pal and mines first dance. Now that the issue has changed just a bit I hope I can get some good suggestions. Keep em coming!

On a lighter note: " Don't worry be happy ", the Bobbin McFarrin version.

Edited to add: Just read your second post...this would not be appropriate for Mom and Son.

"Simple Man." The Shinedown version. A buddy of mine danced with his mother to this and it was really nice.

I just got married last weekend, and I can assure you that the following will be hits:

The bitch is back
Cold as ice
Highway to hell
Don't fear the reaper
Under my thumb

At least, I thought they would be. I slipped the band a 50 to play those prior to the start of the ceremony, and my now mother in law was not amused... the wife thought it was hilarious though, so ymmv.
