What is your oldest EDC item?
Unfortunately, it's my wallet. The thing is pretty much dust by now. Probably had it close to 10 years.

Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice - pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

Leatherman Crater C33 folding clip knife. No sentimental value, just like the thing.

I've got several tools my Dad had, some of them Wizard's from the old Western Auto in Milford. Another is this:

It is a Crescent brand, and I've carried it everyday since the '70s. It's saved my bacon multiple times. Thanks Dad.

This Standing Liberty quarter (or what remains of it) has been on my keyring since ~1977. With the exception of once misplacing my keys, it has been in my pocket since.

I suppose it would be the key to the front door of the house, the lock has never been changed, it is 63 years old, although this particular key is probably about 40 years old. The oldest item that I carry every day, however, is a 1921 Morgan silver dollar, in honor of my mom, who was born that year. Miss you, mom.

I found my dog tags about 15 years ago and they've been on my key ring since.

When my Dad was a young boy, his Dad gave him a silver dollar. This meant the world to my Dad because it was likely all the money his Dad had, or would have for the long time. They lived on a farm during the depression, so they had lots to eat but no money. My Dad still carries that silver dollar and he is now 95 years old. That dollar means a lot to my Dad, but it is not on the same level as what sigmonkey carries. Smile

Victorinox Tinker. Started carrying it in the USAF in 1974. Never without it.

A dollar from my brothers wallet. He passed away on 3/29/99. It's folded up and stuck in with my credit cards.

I started getting semi-serious about my EDC items in 2003 or so. About that time I bought two Lestherman Micra mini-multi-tools, one for me and one for my Dad. I don’t think he carries his, but I’ve packed mine daily since.

Key fob since ‘82. If I’m truthful I quit a couple years ago when the new truck came with the giant electronic fob. Old faithful went to master key status.
