Seems that Optics Planet is not going to sell standard cap mags any longer. The company claims it just coincidental to the latest nut case and it is because of local laws.
I figure they are full of it, they aren't known to be too customer friendly anyway.
Regardless, did something change for our IL / Northbrook, IL members regarding magazine laws?

Nope. Not going to be a loss to shooting community for sure. More concerned there wasn't any additional knee jerk / local politics BS affecting IL gun owners.

OP flat-out lies to their customers. They stock almost nothing, but tell you they have items in stock. When you order from OP, they then order your items from the wholesaler or manufacturer.

They LIE to you on a regular basis and waste your time as a result, because shipping is sometimes severely delayed, or they end up not being able to get the items and have to cancel your order. This is the very definition of a deceptive business practice. WHY would you even CONSIDER giving your business to these frauds?

Last time I bought a taper mount from them. Showed in stock. Took 3 weeks before it shipped.

Nope. I worked less than a mile from OP in Northbrook. We hear the predictable bloviating from local pols, but nothing has changed.

However, as Para said, buying from OP shouldn't be a consideration anyway. They have a virtually unblemished record of overpromising and failing to deliver.

There are too many good optics dealers to ever give them the time of day.
