Need only about 6' or so, but cord is about 20' or so.
I know, DO NOT CUT !!
So the excess, is it better to coil or 'S' fold, or other to secure?

I've done it both ways depending on location. Just don't kink it too tight.

Garmin sells an adapter. You can cut, fit and works great. I did this because I had my old thru hull airmar and new transom mounted sidescan.
