Fight or flight. Some people are just wired to react toward the danger, albeit not so wisely in this case. Glad it turned out well for her.

Idiotic behavior. She acted without thinking. Bears are usually happier to flee, but there were cubs with that sow. Obviously, this could have been horrible.

She claims the little rat dog is a "service" dog, too. It even had one of those fake service dog harnesses on when she was on a TV report this morning. I was irritated by the report I saw which stopped just short of congratulating this moron for attacking the bear.

That bear along with many others is conditioned to associate humans and neighborhoods with food. Many people foolishly feed them and eventually the bears learn to root through the garbage. Sadly that sow and her cubs are not long for this world.

I think that dog took one to the nose and thought better of his choices.

Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

arf. I think you might classify as the imbecile. She is not a chick, she is a woman, since that fact elludes you.

While she definitely took a risk I think your comment is silly.

I think many in that moment with what might have been at stake many would have foolishly did similar. But you only have seconds or less to decide how to react. And in situations like that you really do not decide anything. You just react. Glad it turn out well for all of them.

I agree with lastmanstanding.

Run to the sound of the guns!

That woman definitely has “it”....and in a dress too.

Glad she didn’t get “it” though....usually not a good idea to poke the bear.
