DeSantis is a case study on a politician watching DJT and learning from how he dealt with the enemy. DeSantis was not the way he is today when he was in Congress, and I'm thrilled he saw the light and moved toward it. Quite the shame most Repub politicians don't have the rocks or brains to learn and apply this same lesson.

Agreed. There is a difference between fighting back.. and fighting back effectively. Knowing when, where, and how to confront your opponents.. and when to avoid a fight.

Rep. Boebert was recently invited to speak at a Republican event. I heard from a Republican who attended the event that Rep. Boebert started her comments by telling this same joke about running into Omar on the elevator... then she proceeded to talk about a variety of issues in such a loud voice that many in the audience felt she was shouting at them and were wondering why she was so angry at them.

A few audience members starting looking at each other like "WTF?" The person who attended the event was so put off that after the comments she went and talked to Boebert's aides and they apologized and agreed that the congresswoman could have tempered the tone she struck.

No doubt about it, Boebert and Greene are firecrackers, and passionate about their beliefs and wear them on their sleeves...but being able to read a room, effectively and clearly communicating, knowing how and when to fight and choosing your battles wisely and, just as importantly, when to hold your tongue or temper your remarks are some of the earmarks of an effective politician and leader.

There is a time and place for passion, but also a time for cooler heads. We get too much emotional drama and temper tantrums from the radical Progressive Marxist Left as it is, so I'm not looking to get saturated in it by those on our side as well.

Politics is war, and I'm hoping some of these rookie representatives learn how and when to wage it.

My buddy lives in her district and voted for her. We had lunch last week at Boeberts restaurant recently and he has second thoughts about his vote. Main reason is because she is not learning the position. Ie, she needs to educate herself on a topic before taking a position.

I learned that she dropped out of school and only got her GED while running for Congress.

Oh, the food at the restaurant was marginal.

She represents my district. Her campaign was childish in the extreme. Basically consisted of I'm open carrying and look at my tits boys aren't they nice. But, I twisted my own arm and voted for her. But, she's going to have to up her ideological game if she's going to get another vote out of me. On this issue I do agree with her, and she never should have apologized. Never ever enter into an argument with a leftist expecting that you're going to be dealt with in good faith.

If she needs to up her game tell her, trust me I’d take her over any member of the Massachusetts delegation. She may be brash and a jagged pill, but she’s better than a black bald of hate.

I’ve said this many times since I saw the local sheriff get recalled 20 or so years ago:
People claim to hate politicians until they stop acting like politicians, and then they hate that even more.

It’s been demonstrated countless times throughout history that politicians are successful because they do the things we associate with politicians: going along to get along and all the rest. A small percentage of the electorate may want their representatives to be rude, crude, and with no smooth edges, but large numbers don’t. In fact those voters will fixate on something like a crude joke more tenaciously than the critical issues a representative is being paid to address. Like it or not, sensible or not, it’s what sways many people, including those who should know better—and very frequently decides elections.

I often scoff at the confident predictions I read here, but if Ms. Boebert is a member of Congress two years from now, I will be very surprised, and if I’m right, a Democrat will be in her place.

Third District is some of southern Colorado and the western slope. It's 65 percent rural voters. Pretty tough row to hoe for a Democrat. If she is not seated next term it's will be because she was primaried. I know of one such person thinking about it now.

GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert scores crucial vote of confidence in Colorado primary election victory: 'Freedom wins'

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert has won her Republican primary election in Colorado, securing a crucial vote of confidence ahead of her November general election.

On Tuesday night, Boebert was declared the winner in Colorado's 3rd Congressional District over her moderate opponent, state Rep. Don Coram.

"Freedom wins!" she said in a tweet after the results were announced. "Thank you for all of your support."

"I’m thrilled the voters showed their confidence in me to continue being their Representative," she added. "Hard-working Americans recognize now is not the time to go along to get along, it’s time to stand up and fight for our American way of life. That is exactly what I will continue to do."

In a separate tweet, Boebert described herself and Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois, who won the GOP primary in her state's newly drawn 15th Congressional District as: "Moms, freedom fighters, and professional RINO hunters!"

Boebert, a conservative firebrand and gun-toting Second Amendment enthusiast, said she was looking forward to Republicans winning back the House majority and dethroning House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"Conservative Republicans like me are going to help take back the House in November, fire Nancy Pelosi, and do all we can to get our country back on track," she said.

I have zero problems with Boebert. Smile

Great news.

She's pro 2A, pro life, and pro America first, and she votes consistently on those topics. That's good enough for me.

Congrats to Boebert, and good luck in November.

Never confuse education with intelligence. Education requires time and money. Some of the dumbest people I have ever met have advanced degrees. On the other hand, the most influential mentors I have ever had were high school graduates or GED holders.

And yes, Boebert is currently one of the best Republicans we have in Washington right now. Hope that she is still there after November.
