My shoes and socks are in different locations. I have to put on socks first, then walk to where my shoes are.
Seriously, I don't have any particular pattern on which foot I start with first when putting on socks and shoes.

I don’t wear shoes in my house. Socks then slippers for me. Swap out the slippers for shoes prior before going outdoors.

I think I used to do it sock, sock, shoe, shoe. With a white dog in the house the last 8 years though, there's usually some white hair on the floor, so I do it sock, shoe, sock, shoe and never let the sock touch the carpet, as I usually wear black socks that are sure to pick up the white hair. No idea if Archie would be OK with that...
...On second thought, he'd say they dog belongs outside!
