My gun cave/reloading is in a 20' connex that is slid inside of my 1200sqft shop. The cats are shop cats. Their job is Murder Inc. on anything entering the shop. They take the job seriously and I have no varmint problem. They are 100% certain that everything within the shop walls belongs to them and is always inspectable by them. Pretty friendly for cats born feral, but to the point of obnoxious some times.

Like, when I am reloading. PITA to keep them out of my way when they feel it's time to inspect my loads. So.....let the reloading and training commence at the same time. I reload, they watch videos of birds, squirrels, & mice.

Too funny. We have adopted a feral cat as well. Over the course of a year he has become guardian of our house and is the most lovable cat you could imagine.

Never hurts to have another set of eyes inspecting your work!

Looks like a great place to spend some time. What lens did you use there?

Pretty cool. Nice setup. They look like they may have some Maine Coon genetics.

I have a similar situation. My current cat was a feral and not socialized as a kitten. As such, he is not a lap cat. Until:
I bring in the mail. Then he is right there, pawing everything, digging in any packages that are there and generally interfering with the process. This is an eagerly awaited daily process. He watches from the window when I go out to get the mail.
If am putting anything together or working on any type of project, I cant get rid of him. He has to be involved.
He does not participate in gun maintenance, because he does not like the smell of Hoppes! I dont need his help with that anyway.
All cats have their idiosyncrasies, but the desire to assist me with the mail and my projects is a new one for me.

I was reassembling a handgun once and the recoil spring went flying.

I heard it hit 3 rails, wall, ceiling, then another wall.

My cat was sitting next to me and I saw his head swivel as the spring flew.

Then he walked over to where it landed and stared at it.

I'm not at all sure I could have found it without him.

As they've grown we suspected that. They are big boys. 3yrs old and in the 15lb range with no fat and stupid amounts of agility.

My two cats are attracted by the sounds that brass makes when moved.
Trying to hand prime while watching TV is an exercise in futility on my part.

Good looking cats. I have one who looks just like them ‘cept gray. My oldest daughter plays videos like that on her laptop for him.

I like cats, more than most. I have two. However, I've had about as much Icanhazcheezburger.com as I can stand. It was cute the first time, even the second time, even the third time. It is no longer cute after thirty times.
