I have a granddaughter (Update on page 2 w/photo)!
Congradulations! I am expecting my first grandchild-a girl-around July 4th.

Update:
After 56(?) days in NICU, Mila has been stepped down in the unit and is now in an open crib. She's now a little over 4.5 lbs and also had her feeding tube removed today. I thought I'd wait until the tubes were gone to post a photo.

No word yet on when she's coming home, but it's a matter of days, we think.

I have to confess that I was concerned. Not worried, though. She was born at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh and if necessary, Children's Hospital is nearby. As it is, she really had no setbacks and is looking to be the perfect child.

Just saw this. Congrats.

My #3 grandson was born @ 28 weeks with the same problem. Weighed 2lbs 2ozs. So I understand what you are going through. He will be 17 next month and is 5' 10" and goes a buck 65 and is all muscle. Just hang in there.

Hearty congratulations to you and the parents, and thank God for modern medicine that allows this to be a joyful event!

Our only grandchild is also a girl, now about 14 months old, and is starting to be left at our house for hours, during which she gives orders with the Finger of Command.
Needless to say, she is the sun around which our world now revolves.
What a blessing!

Mila is now 11 lb. 1 oz./23 inches and is the picture of a healthy little girl! Sixty-seven days in NICU, home since early June, and has already been to Nags Head for a week.
